Trupti's Perspective:

As I entered my chamber, I sank onto the bed, taking deep, steadying breaths. The weight of the past few weeks bore heavily on me. Abhirath, loyal to Queen Vedanti, had never once looked at me with ill intentions. I had blackmailed him into marriage, threatening to kill myself if he refused.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and a very angry Queen Vedanti stormed in. Her voice was so dangerous that my whole body shook with fear. I gestured with my eyes to my head maid, silently pleading for her to call Abhirath. The maid nodded subtly and hurried out.

"What do you want, Trupti?" Vedanti's voice was sharp and cold. "You have my husband, and now you want my brother? Really, what have I done to deserve this? You could have forced anyone to marry you, being a princess of one of the strongest kingdoms anyone would do that happily. But no, you wanted already-married Abhirath. I know there's something more to this, and I will find out. And then you will be hanged dead in front of all the people in the royal justice prison. Women like you deserve to die."

Her words were a chilling challenge, and I could see in her eyes that she was not lying. Despite the fear gnawing at my insides, I forced a smirk and replied, "Oh, my queen, I am so scared."

Her anger flared. "You and Abhirath were so involved with each other that you couldn't see the war coming. In three hours, there will be no evidence that this kingdom even existed. Save your life and your subjects' lives if you can."

My heartbeat raced as I realized I had just blurted out my brother's plan. Panic surged through me. What would happen now? Vedanti's eyes narrowed, and she moved swiftly, her hand tightening around my throat.

"Why would you do that?" she demanded, her grip cutting off my air.

I gasped, struggling to breathe. "I was blackmailed by my own brother," I choked out, tears streaming down my face. "He told me that if I didn't come to your kingdom, marry Abhirath, and help him plan this war, he would kill my baby."

Vedanti's grip loosened slightly, her eyes widening in shock. "Your baby?"

I nodded, struggling to speak. "Yes, my baby. He...he threatened to kill my child if I didn't comply. I had no choice."

The queen's grip on my throat slackened completely, and she stepped back, her expression a mixture of anger and disbelief. "Who is your brother?" she demanded.

"Prince Raghav," I whispered, still catching my breath. "He orchestrated everything. He wants your kingdom to fall."

Vedanti's eyes flashed with determination. "We'll see about that," she said, turning on her heel. "Pushpa, prepare the guards. We need to fortify the defenses and prepare for war. And ensure that Trupti is kept under constant watch."

As she left, I slumped back onto the bed, tears still streaming down my face. The weight of my brother's betrayal and the fear for my child's life overwhelmed me. But in that moment, I also felt a glimmer of hope. Perhaps, with Vedanti's determination and Abhirath's strength there was still a chance to save us all.

THIRD PERSON POV :)

The atmosphere in the palace was tense, every corner filled with the urgency of preparation for the impending war. Vedanti paced back and forth in the chamber, her anger simmering just below the surface. She clenched her fists, trying to contain the storm of emotions swirling inside her. Abhirath entered, his face set with determination, but the moment he saw Vedanti, he knew there was a storm he had to face.

"Abhirath," Vedanti began, her voice trembling with restrained fury, "I told you Trupti was a snake. She was involved in planning this war all along. You never believed me."

Abhirath sighed, stepping closer to her. "Vedanti, I know you're angry. I know you feel betrayed. But right now, we need to focus on defending our kingdom and I am really sorry for not listening to you."

Vedanti's eyes blazed with anger and frustration. "Don't you dare tell me to calm down, Abhirath. This entire mess could have been avoided if you had just listened to me in the first place."

Abhirath gently took her hands in his, trying to soothe her. "Please, my rabbit, don't take more stress. I promise I will figure everything out. If the situation gets worse, I need you to take our family and leave. Protect them. I'll handle the rest."

Tears welled up in Vedanti's eyes as she looked at him, her heart breaking at the thought of leaving him behind. "I can't just sit here and do nothing, Abhirath. I want to be there with you, fighting for our kingdom."

Abhirath's eyes softened, and he kissed her forehead tenderly. "You are my strength, Vedanti. But I need you safe. If anything happens to you, I won't be able to live with myself. Promise me you'll stay safe and protect our family and the little one."

Vedanti's resolve wavered, and she nodded reluctantly. "Fine, but you better come back to me, Abhirath. You hear me?"

"I promise," he whispered, pulling her into a tight embrace.

As they prepared to leave, Abhirath's father, the king, stood at the palace gates with his wife, Abhirath's mother, and the rest of the royal family. They were all dressed in their battle gear, ready to defend their kingdom.

Abhirath's mother, her eyes filled with worry, hugged him tightly. "Take care of yourself, my son. And bring honour to our family."

Abhirath nodded, holding her close. "I will, mother. I promise."

Abhirath father placed a hand on Abhirath's shoulder, his expression stern but proud. "Remember, we fight for our people, our kingdom. Stay strong and lead with honour."

Vedanti stood by the gates, her eyes never leaving Abhirath. She wanted to memorize every detail of his face, every line and curve, as if it might be the last time she saw him. The fear of losing him was like a knife twisting in her heart.

"Vedanti," Abhirath called softly, pulling her out of her thoughts. "Stay strong for me, my rabbit."

She nodded, tears spilling down her cheeks. "I will. Just come back to me, Abhirath."

With one last kiss, Abhirath mounted his horse, his father beside him. The soldiers assembled, and the gates slowly opened. Vedanti watched as they rode out, the sound of hooves echoing against the stone walls. She felt a part of her heart leaving with him, a void that only his return could fill.

The weight of responsibility and the looming threat of war pressed heavily on her shoulders. She turned to the head maid, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. "Prepare the palace defenses and ensure everyone's safety. We must be ready for anything."

As she watched the horizon, Vedanti prayed for Abhirath's safety and the strength to protect their kingdom in his absence. The future was uncertain, but she knew one thing for sure: she would fight with every ounce of her being to ensure they would be reunited once more.
