Third PERSON POV:)
The tension in the palace had reached an unbearable peak. Each hour without news from the battlefield felt like a lifetime. Vedanti moved through the halls with a heavy heart, her mind plagued by the unknown fate of Abhirath and their soldiers.
A palace official approached her with a stack of notices requiring the royal stamp. "Your Majesty, these need to be stamped and distributed to the subjects," he said, his voice breaking the heavy silence.
Vedanti nodded, taking the documents. "I'll handle it."
She made her way to Abhirath's chamber, her heart tightening with every step. The room felt emptier without him, a stark reminder of his absence. She began searching for the royal seal in his cabinet, rifling through drawers and shelves, but it was nowhere to be found. Frustrated, she moved to a blue cupboard she had rarely seen Abhirath use.
As she opened it, a cascade of letters and various items spilled out. Her eyes fell on a red scarf, and to her surprise, her name was intricately engraved on it.
She smiled, touching the fabric, feeling a rush of warmth and nostalgia. She picked up a small box hidden behind a stack of papers and opened it, revealing a tiny silver anklet with the name "Chavi" engraved on it.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she remembered Abhirath's desire to name their future daughter Chavi. It was a bittersweet discovery, a glimpse of the dreams they shared.
As she was about to close the cupboard, a crumpled brown paper caught her eye. It was tucked away in the corner, almost as if it had been deliberately hidden. Curiosity got the better of her, and she picked it up. Unfolding the paper, she read the bold letters at the top: "I Failed as a husband today."
Her breath caught in her throat as she continued reading Abhirath's heartfelt words.
"To protect the unborn child in trupti womb, I had to marry her. I really don't care if she dies or lives, but that baby means a lot to me and I can't lose that at any cost. Killing baby is the crime and that is vedanti brother baby if I don't marry her she will spoil his life and it is good I can control trupti and her brother omkara also from this action.
She manipulated Vedanti's brother in the name of love to just get pregnant with his child so she can make Vedanti's life miserable, I can't let more life get affected by cunning plans, Vedanti brother lost his parents in such a young age his kingdom is constantly on a fight for survival as other might kingdom attack them regularly and on top of it if person like trupti entered his life to emotionally manipulate him and take the kingdom, I had to do some thing as I so involed in their parents death its y responsibility to look after his well being.
One side is a rift, and the other side is a well. If I choose any of them, I am going to hurt her badly. Thinking about that is killing me. Love is not supposed to hurt you but make you feel like you are living in heaven. But I am making her life a hell with my own hands. God, please don't take this much price of being in love with me. Please show me a way in which I don't lose my Vedanti."
Vedanti's hands trembled as she read the note, her heart aching with every word. The paper fell from her hands, and she sank to the floor, overwhelmed by a torrent of emotions.
She felt a profound sadness for the burden Abhirath had been carrying alone, the guilt and helplessness he must have felt. Anger surged within her at Trupti for manipulating and tearing apart their lives. But most of all, she felt a deep, aching love for Abhirath. Despite the pain, his love for her was evident in every word, his desperate plea to find a way to protect her without causing her more harm.
