ABHIRATH POV :)

"Come on, bunnies, get up!" I whispered urgently, trying to keep my voice low. "We've got to get you tucked in bed before your mom wakes up, or she'll burn the whole kingdom down."

Abhishek giggled as I helped him onto the horse, while I gently scooped Raj into my arms. But then I noticed something that made my blood run cold—a faint but undeniable imprint of fingers on his left cheek. My jaw clenched, fury burning through me like wildfire.

Who the hell dared to do this?

I tried to calm myself, taking a deep breath before asking softly, "Raj... who did this to you, my boy?"

Raj, hearing the strain in my voice, hugged me tightly, trembling slightly as he whispered, "Dev..."

That was it. Rage surged through my veins like a storm. I rubbed Raj's back to soothe him, but my thoughts were already spinning with violent intent. Dev—how dare he lay a hand on my son?

I muttered under my breath. "My blood ran cold.  The plan could rot in hell for all I cared—I was going to kill him. But before I could let the fury consume me, Raj placed his small palm on my cheek, his innocent eyes looking up at me. "Baba, please calm down. Maasa says anger is bad," he whispered, looking impossibly cute, like my little wise man.

I nodded, swallowing the rage. "Maasa is always right," I said, pressing a kiss to his head.

By the time we reached the palace, my soldiers knew what to do, swiftly securing our route. We approached Vedanti's chamber through the window. I knelt in front of the boys, my heart full of both pride and affection.

"Never try this stunt without me again, okay?" I warned them gently.

They both nodded in agreement, their wide eyes promising obedience. Abhishek ran to hug me tightly, and I pulled Raj into the embrace as well, holding them both close.

Suddenly, I felt the cold edge of a sword press against the back of my neck. A sharp pricking sensation sent a wave of panic through me. I spun around, instantly on the defensive, my own sword drawn in an instant. The blade clashed against my assailant's, the clang of steel echoing in the stillness of the night.

Both our faces were covered by cloth, masking our identities. But this person was skilled, no doubt about it—each strike was precise, calculated. Yet I wasn't one to back down. With a swift move, I disarmed them, sending their sword flying.

Just as I prepared for the final blow, I felt a small push at my knees—Raj. The force made me stumble, dropping to my knees, bewildered.

"Raj, why—"

And then I saw her.

The mask had fallen from her face, and my heart skipped a beat. My breath hitched as goosebumps raised along my skin.

It was her. My wife. My queen. My Vedanti.

She stood before me, a vision in black, her beauty even more breathtaking than I remembered. Her cheeks were fuller now, rounder, but it only added to her allure. She wasn't just my rabbit anymore—she had transformed into a goddess, a force of nature. The kind of woman you'd bow before, not out of weakness, but out of sheer reverence.

Abhishek ran over, pulling the cloth off my face, revealing my identity to her. Her eyes widened in shock at first, then softened in surprise, and finally—relief. For a moment, I feared the worst—that she'd take the boys and leave again, just like before. My chest tightened at the thought of losing her again.
