As Vishwanath entered the chamber, Roopmati, his wife, rushed at him, slapping his chest and shouting, her voice filled with fury and desperation. "How could you do this? I know it's not true. Vedanti can't be my biological daughter. You're lying to save her!"

Vishwanath gently grabbed her hands, his eyes full of pain and love. "I am not lying, love. She is our daughter. Remember your best friend Kusum, the queen of the neighbouring kingdom? You made her husband and me best friends. Their family attacked Kusum when she was pregnant. To ensure the safety of the baby, her husband requested me to take their child as ours and say we had twins."

Roopmati's eyes widened in disbelief. 

Vishwanath continue, "But it didn't happen that way. I gave birth to a stillborn, and Kusum gave birth to Abhirath. We exchanged the babies." his voice heavy with the weight of the past.Yes, and after some years, when their kingdom was strong again, they planned for another child. Coincidentally, we were also expecting at that time. But this time, she had a miscarriage, and you gave birth to Vedanti."

Tears streamed down Roopmati's face as she struggled to process the truth. "But why? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Her husband begged me, saying if Kusum knew the baby was dead, she would die of sorrow. I couldn't bear to see you in pain, too. So, we kept the secret, and Vedanti became their daughter, and abhirath become our son"

Vedanti, who had been listening in shock, looked at Abhirath with tears in her eyes. "Abhirath, I only knew half the truth—that you were not their biological son. I didn't know anything else."

Abhirath's face was a mix of disbelief and pain.

Vedanti took a deep breath, her voice trembling but resolute. "what Omkara said to you is manipulated. He twisted the truth to break us apart. Omkara and I—"

The chamber fell silent, every eye on Vedanti as she prepared to reveal the final piece of the puzzle. The truth that would change everything.

The room was filled with gasps of shock. Abhirath's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat as the weight of her words sank in. Vishwanath's face was pale, his heart breaking for the pain his silence had caused. Roopmati's tears flowed freely, her anger melting into sorrow and regret.

Vedanti's voice broke the heavy silence. "Abhirath, I'm telling you the truth. I never once betrayed our love. I never once thought of being with Omkara. He's a master manipulator, but I refuse to let him destroy us, he tried coming close to me but never succeeded, he and I were friend when you were away from me in starting of our marriage, In starting he was nice always helpful to me in studies but then he tried to touch me inappropriately and after that I stop meeting him."

Abhirath looked into Vedanti's eyes, seeing the sincerity and pain. The room around them faded as he took a step towards her, his voice barely above a whisper. "Vedanti, I—"

The door to the chamber burst open, and a soldier rushed in, his face pale and urgent. "Your Majesty, Omkara's forces are advancing. They're preparing for another attack."

The room was thrust back into chaos, the shocking revelations momentarily pushed aside by the imminent threat. But the seeds of truth had been planted, and as Abhirath turned to face the new challenge, he knew the battle for his kingdom—and his heart—was far from over.
