Taken - Chapter 71

"Look at them," I smile, linking Jake's fingers with mine and gazing at Layla, playing with Caleb on the living room carpet.

"I think she got over it," He chuckles in my ear, 

"She most certainly did,"

He presses his lips to my temple and lingers there for a moment, resting our foreheads together, watching our beautiful children.

"They're both so beautiful," Mom smiles, standing beside me with a proud smile on her face as she look at Jake and I,

"They are," 

"Have you taken him to meet the pack?"

"Not yet,"

"Maybe you should. I'm sure they would love to meet their new nephew," She smiles, "And the future alpha,"

"Haven't thought of that,"

"Give them a call,"

I nod and walk over to the kitchen, grabbing my phone and dialing Billy's number.

"Renesmee,"

"Hi Billy, would you happen to know where the majority of the pack is today?"

"Seth was over here before and said something about Sam's place. Try there maybe,"

"Thank you,"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Um,  did Jake tell you I was pregnant again?"

"Vaguely, I do remember something about it, congratulations,"

"Thanks, I had the baby almost a week ago and we wanted something to do so we thought we would come and introduce Caleb to the pack,"

"Well, if you do, can you bring him over to meet me? I'd love to meet my own grandson. What is his name?"

"Caleb Black,"

"Born leader," He murmurs, "Well, I might see you soon,"

"You definitely will Billy,"

The line goes dead and I walk over to Jake, "They are apparently at Sam's and then after we see them, we have to go and see your dad,"

He nods and scoops Caleb up in one arm and holds Layla's hand with the other, "Let's go," He smiles,

"Where?" Layla chirps,

"We're going to go and see the pack," He smiles towards her as her face lights up in excitement.

"Really? Sam and Seth and Emily?"

"They'll all be there," I chuckle as she jumps into my arms, "You're excited aren't you?"

She nods her head frantically, bouncing in my arms, "Jake we should go before she explodes," I laugh, looking towards him and Caleb.

My little family.

"Let's go children," I chuckle, buckling Caleb and Layla into their seats and clutching my back soon after from bending over,

Caleb looks at me inquisitively with his big brown eyes, probably wanting to ask where we are going, or what's going on but being unable to speak.

I place my hand on top of Jacob's, resting on the gearstick, "We are not having any more children, until they both can do their own seat belt," I say, causing him to laugh gloriously,

"Deal,"

"I know Layla is excited, are you?" I ask him, resting my hand on the back of his neck, playing with the hair at the nape of his neck,

"I haven't seen them in a while. I used to see them everyday and now I rarely see them so, yeah you could say I was excited," He smiles, shivering slightly,

"Sorry," I chuckle, leaning over the console and kissing his cheek as he rolls to the bottom of the driveway.

"Who's going to be there?"

"Most of them I think. Maybe not Rachel and Paul but the rest of them are always at Sam's place,"

He shrugs and re grips the steering wheel in one hand, taking mine in the other, his thumb grazing lightly over the top of my hand.
