"Grandpa!" I squeal like a little kid as he appears at the top of the stairs,

"My girl," He says as I shift Laylay's weight into Jakes arms and fly into his hug, "How are you?"

"Good,"

"I thought your mom said you were going to school,"

"Yeah I was, but I want to spend this year with Laylay while she is still young," I say,

"Laylay? Oh Layla, right, is Jacob the king of nicknames or something? Bells, Nessie, Laylay..."

"No, I came up with Layly accidently, it just kind of stuck," I giggle, I act like such a little kid around him.

"Fair enough," He shrugs running a hand through his short hair, "Can I have a hold?" He asks, nodding towards Layla,

"Of course," I say, skipping over to Jake and taking her out of his arms, "Here you are," I say as he  extends his arms and I place her into his warm embrace,

"Hey beautiful girl," He coos, which sounds slightly out of place with his usual manly voice, but makes us smile none the less, "What's been going on?"

"Nothing. Mommy and Daddy went to school yesterday and now they're not going anymore," She says shaking her head,

"So you did go?" He asks in my direction and I nod, "Right, well, how was it?"

"Jake and I had a... misunderstanding it wasn't that good up until about 4th Period," I sigh and he nods understandably,

"You guys seem to have a pretty strong bond, not that I'm some psychic, but you always seem to be tied together or something, it's different, intense for people so young. Sue and I aren't even like that,"

Just the fact he bought up me being tied to Jake makes me smile from ear to ear. That's effectively what imprinting is, or that's what I've been told. That I am Jacob's new source of gravity, or I have been for 8 years.

"Is that a good thing?"

"Well, it doesn't look like you could ever be apart so I guess it's a very good thing for Layla," He says, bouncing and rocking slightly supporting Layla's head into the crook of his neck,

"I don't think we could either," Jake chuckles and a blush rises to my cheeks.

"So how long are you going to stay?" I ask Charlie, sitting on the couch and patting the spot next to me,

"Gee, I only just got here and you're already kicking me out,"

"That's not what I meant," I stutter,

"It's okay Renesmee, I know, I was only joking," He chuckles and I groan at my full name, "Did I say something wrong?"

"No, just please, call me Nessie," I chuckle, "It's taken you 8 years and you still haven't gotten the nickname," I scoff, but not in a cocky way,

"I'm sorry, I'm not good with change," He says, flicking his eyes to Jake and cringing slightly,

"Oh come on Charlie, I'm the same old Jake I was 8 years ago," He complains, "You've just got t-"

"Some things are better, when you don't know about them," He shudders, and a look of realization looks like it hits him in the face. "Does that mean, that Layla will be... like Jacob?"

"We don't know, but probably," I shrug, "She's a lot paler than Jake, and not as warm, so we'll have to wait,"

"My great grandaughter, is going to be an animal," He mumbles to himself which makes me really angry, but it's Charlie, so I hold it back,

"Maybe, we're not sure, but for now, she's a typical, normal human, which grows fast,"

"Good," He nods, "As fast as you?"

"Not quite,"

"Dad!" My mom sings walking around the corner, "It's so nice to see you,"

"I missed you Bells," He hugs her, squishing Layla inbetween them which makes her laugh her toddler giggle,

"I missed you too dad,"

"I thought you were going to move?" He says, choking on the last word.

"We decided against it, Jacob wants to stay here and Renesmee would stay with him, and we want to be around Renesmee,"

"Okay then," He nods, I can tell he was happy hearing that we were staying around here for a while longer.

Sunny walks around the corner and Charlies face overcomes with shock, "Who's this?" She asks, stopping dead in her tracks, smelling his scent. Dad walks over to her and pulls her out of the room.

"Who was she? The Cullen's adopted another one?" He asks, still shocked,

"Yeah, I'm no longer the newby in the family," Mom chuckles,

"I was newer ot the family than you," I point out and everyone in the room bursts out into little sounds of laughter.

Jake's phone starts blaring his ringtone and he excuses himself outside to answer. I tune out of the conversation between my mom and Charlie and turn to look at Jake through the window. He looks concerned as he mumbles something into the phone, which I can't hear as the door is closed and he isn't talking very loudly.

As soon as he hangs up he storms back through the door and towards the garage,

"What's the matter?" I ask, flying after him.

"Seth, he's been hurt. Badly, he's at my dad's and I need to go over now," He says and I run aftre him,

"I'm coming with you,"

Dad, Jake and I are going to see Seth and I don't know when we'll be back. Jake has his phone so just ring if you need anything. Look after Laylay for me please!

"Be careful Renesmee," Is my dad's reply as I'm shutting the door behind me.

"How badly,"

"Writhing in pain and the quick healing isn't setting in as fast as it should be," He says, worried.

"He'll be okay," I say grabbing his hand as he flaws the gas pedal and we speed off down the drive.

A/N: So, I changed the actress of Renesmee to Riley Keough. She looks a little bit like Kristen Stewart except with blonde hair so just imagine she has Edward's colour hair and she is perfect. Check her out of google images or IMDB :) People will have different opinions.

Keep reading and be kind to one another :)
