Chapter 14 {Jason}

~No one's POV~

All you could see was a weirdly calming black void. You looked around calling out for someone anyone, all that you heard was the echo of you own voice. You started to panic a bit you couldn't remember anything; This caused you to panic even more. You tried to walk yet you couldn't move you tried to feel something anything physical, yet you felt nothing. Suddenly you heard a low chuckle and you turned to see blood red eyes and a shadowy figure stalking towards you. You sat there panic filling you more, you were desperately trying to move but your feet were frozen in place. The figure reached up and pulled off its hood revealing Jason, his eyes were tinted with blood red, and they glowed in the dark.

"Miss me?" Jason grabbed my chin lifting it. 

I struggled against him pure terror running through my body. He was stronger than he used to be, and he had some type of dark aura around him. His hand went down to my neck, and he took a firm and harsh hold on it, choking me, and lifting me into the air.  My eyes widened as he brought his other hand down to his side and a black sword with a red glow materialized into his hand.

"I am going to make this so slow and painful" Jason smirked and swung his sword towards my side.

~Leo's POV~

I was walking to Donnie's lab to check on (Y/n) they had been sleeping for a while now and it was almost time for dinner. I had a plate of some spaghetti with me to give them. This was totally not an excuse just to see them. MHMMMM! Just to give them some food that's all!

I walked in and immediately noticed something was off. I glanced over at you form and immediately noticed it violently shaking. My eyes widened and ran over to see if you were alright. You were still sleeping and as I got closer and set the plate down on a nearby table, I saw their face was scrunched up, and their entire form was tensed up and shacking.

I reached out to them to gently touch their shoulder to try and wake them, but before I could even touch them, they harshly flinched away. This caught me off guard, I had pieced together that they were having a nightmare. I stood there watching as their form curled up and tears started to form on the corners of your eyes. I hated seeing them like this, but I didn't know what to do.

WAKE THEM UP FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!! An unfamiliar voice shouted in my head jolting me into action.

"(Y/n)!!" I semi shouted grabbing them by their shoulders.

(Y/n) Jolted up gasping. Their eyes darted everywhere in terror. I immediately pulled them into a hug rubbing comforting circles into their back. I felt then tense up but then hug back tightly. I protectively held them tighter. For 10 minutes we just sat like this I took in their presence feeling my heart leap at the position we were in.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked looking down at them sympathetically.

"N-not really" (Y/n) replied flinching a bit at their own stuttering.

"Alright, just know if you need to talk to someone then I'm here" I said pulling away from them reluctantly.

"In the meantime, we made spaghetti for dinner" I smiled handing them the plate.

"Thanks, Leo" (Y/n) smiled back her beautiful (e/c) eyes soft.

"No problem! just call if you need me!" I said and left the room.

~No one's POV~

Raph hid in a shadow as Leo walked out successfully not being seen by and slipping inside without a sound.

"Jewel for the last time I couldn't hear you for some reason I am telling you!" (Y/n) exclaimed clutching their head.

Sorry! I just got really worried when I couldn't reach you, I freaked out and when Leo came in, I had to do something so I- Jewel started to rant speeding through her words like it was a speedrun.

"Whoa, whoa. first off slow down there. It's alright, and second...." (Y/n) trailed off making a you-know-what-I'm-talking-about face.

Who is she talking to!? Raph thought confused and suspicious, his eyes narrowing.

Heh heh heh uummm. Jewel hesitated nervously.

"Jewel Crystal Tree!" You said sternly, jewel didn't have a middle or last name, so you just used that as her full name.

Fine........ I can speak to you from long distances now. Jewel admitted.

"I already pieced that together, and that's half the truth, isn't it?" you narrowed your eyes.

Promise not to be mad? Jewel asked.

"I promise" You pledged.

I can speak to other people through their minds as well, but I can't see their thoughts like you. Jewel sighed.

"Jewel, why would I be mad about that?" Your gaze softened.

I dunno the guardians can limit who I can talk to through their minds. Jewel admitted sadly.

"Jewel you should know by now I won't do that unless you want me to" I smiled softly.

Thanks (Y/n) I am glad to have a friend like you. Jewel said warmly.

Raph was sitting in the shadows confused as you could be. Who would blame him? You're talking to a wall. You named it and everything! He felt suspicious though, you didn't seem like the kind of person to go crazy. He glared at you suspiciously. What did you promise? Do what unless who wanted you to? Who is this jewel? There was something you weren't telling them, and he was going to find out.
