Narrator's POV:
Laughter came a gorgeous cobblestone house tucked away in the corner of the Kingdom of Everlastia, a young boy with raven black hair and bright blue eyes ran through the house laughing.
A woman with raven black hair pulled back into a braid down her back and bright green eyes full of happiness chased after the young boy with a smile on her face.
Giggles came from both of them as they ran around the corner and into the sitting area of their home just as the front door opened and a man with light blonde hair and bright blue eyes walked in dressed his guard attire.
The young boy gasped in happiness and turned around running past the woman and around the corner jumping in happiness when his eyes landed on the man.
"Dad! Dad!" He shouted over and over again, the man turned to him and smiled as the young boy darted towards his father and threw himself into his fathers arms.
"Zane my boy! How was your day today?" The man asked the young boy known as Zane, Zane fell into an entire rant about everything he did today including the new potions book he had gotten while out with the woman.
"He's very proud of his book. Aren't you darling?" The woman said, Zane nodded his head and wiggled out of his fathers arms and ran up the stairs to get the book.
"Did you enjoy your time today Zianna?" The man asked the woman known as Zianna, she smiled and nodded her head walking over to greet her husband with a kiss and a hug.
"I did. Zane sure kept me busy with all the running around we had to do today. Is everything alright Garte?" Zianna asked, the man known as Garte nodded his head just as Zane returned holding the book.
Zane held up the book for his father and Garte grabbed it gently from him and looked at the potion book for beginners and all the potions there is, Garte looked down to see a smile on Zane's face.
"You'll tell me about the book when you're done reading it? Won't you son?" Zane nodded his head as he grabbed the book from his fathers hands and followed him over to the table.
Zianna walked over to start making dinner for three while Garte sat down in his chair at the head of the table while Zane climbed up onto the chair next to his father and set the book on the table.
Garte smiled as he set his helm on the table despite Zianna's scolding for that, Zane grabbed the helm and looked at it for a moment playing with the moveable piece to cover the jaw of the guard.
Zane looked up at his father with a smile on his face and climbed up onto the table and sat in front of his father pulling the helm into his lap to lean against it.
"Do you have any new stories today dad?" Zane asked, Garte placed a finger on his chin and pretended to think about any story he could tell his son like he always did before smiling.
"Have you heard the tale of the disappearing princess?" Garte asked, Zane's eyes lit up and he shook his head scooting closer to his father.
"No! I wanna know about the disappearing princess!" Zane shouted, Zianna smiled as she wiped her hands letting the water boil on the stovetop and turned to listen to the story.
"In the far away kingdom of Tu'la there is a young girl around your age who is seventh in line to become queen of Tu'la who loves magicks and adventures. The people of Tu'la adore her and enjoy the days she goes running throughout the kingdom with a smile on her face and guards chasing after her with her nanny close to her. She has long bubblegum pink hair and bright caramel coloured eyes and is obsessed with the colour pink" Zane's face scrunched at that.
"I hate pink" He announced, Garte laughed.
"But she loves the colour pink and loves to paint! But you see the young princess finds herself wondering what it would be like to be apart of a normal family almost daily. Her parents pay no mine to her as the King and Queen of Tu'la and all she has is her older siblings who seem to be moving on with their lives. The young princess longs to wander the world without guards or her nanny around her and because of this she disappears all the time!" Zane smiled wider.
"The disappearing princess!" Zane shouted, Garte nodded his head as he made a dramatic show of pretending to disappear before popping up again, making Zane and Zianna laugh.
"The guards have no idea where she goes and no idea how she disapepars so suddenly! No one knows how she does it and some wonder if the young princess secretly harbours magically abilities that have been long forgotten to the mortal world. Theories run throughout the Kingdom of Tu'la as everyone tried to figure out how the young princess could disappear from the heaviliy guarded castle and reappear like nothing ever happened. No one can figure out how she does it but many wonder if she has the magically abilities just like the goddess of life and everything beautiful in the world" Zane almost fell off the table from how far he was leaning and Garte quickly caught him.
Zane was amazed by the story as he wondered how the princess could do something like that without anyone knowing including the guards and fell back onto the table staring up at the ceiling.
"How do you think she does that dad?" Zane asked, Garte pulled Zane over to him and set the 5 year old in his lap and looked down at him with a smile on his face.
"I think she has a secret passage way through out the castle that leads out of it and into the forest next to the kingdom. Or maybe the nanny is helping her so she can be like a normal girl for just a few hours" Garte answered.
"Will I ever get to go to Tu'la?" Zane asked.
"One day you will. One day you will" Garte repeated and looked up at Zianna who smiled when Zane turned his attention to her and jumped out of his dads lap and ran over to his mother.
"Is the disappearing princess real?" Zane asked, he couldn't help but wonder if it was story from generations ago and if the disappearing princess was no longer around.
"She is. Maybe one day you'll get to meet her" Zianna said, Zane smiled and turned around to look at his father, the idea of meeting the disappearing princess interested him.
He had met the prince of Everlastia on the days Garte would bring him to work with him at the castle on some days but Zane's mind wandered back to the disappearing princess and he wondered if he'd ever get to meet her.
