Narrator's POV:
21 Years Later...
"Your highness?" An older woman called out into the bedroom knocking on the door softly, when there was no answer she carefully opened the door and peaked inside to find the dark room completely empty.
The woman walked further into the room looking around for any sign of anyone being in the room but there was nothing, an unmade bed rested in the middle of the room and the balcony doors were closed and the curtains drawn shut.
The woman sighed and pushed a strand of her gray hair behind her ear and placed her hands on her hips as a guard walked into the room looking confused.
"Has she run off again Brielle?" The guard asked, Brielle nodded her head walking past the guard.
"She has. I'll alert the King and Queen of her disappearance. Go and find her Eryx now" Eryx nodded his head and ran out of the room as Brielle made her way towards the dining room where the King and Queen would be waiting.
Guards walked through the castle already aware of the princess' disappearance and were keeping their eye out for any sign of her while the King and Queen were completely oblivious to everything going on.
Brielle fixed her dress and cleared her throat and opened the doors to the dining room, everyone looked up at her for a moment before looking down at their plates.
The King leaned back in his chair at the head of the table staring at Brielle with an unamused expersssion on his face while the Queen simply looked down at her book.
"Has she disappeared again Brielle?" The Queen asked calmly as she flipped a page in her book, Brielle stopped placing her hands in front of her body and nodded her head.
"Yes your majesty. I have Eyrx searching the castle for her now" Brielle answered with her head bowed slightly, the King let out an annoyed noise and slammed his hand down on the table startling his other children.
"When she is found please bring her to us Brielle" The King snapped in an angry tone, Brielle nodded her head and bowed to the king taking a step back.
"Yes your majesty" Brielle turned around and walked out of the dinning room and only once she was out of the room did she let out a breath of nervousness.
The princess was her responsibility and once again she had let the princess slip from her sight and disappear off to wherever she goes, the King and Queen were becoming angrier and angrier with her.
Brielle pushed the strands of her hair behind her ears and felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned to see the youngest daughter of the King and Queen and bowed.
"Princess Kia. What may I help you with this morning?" Brielle asked in a kind tone and stood back up looking at the 12 year old girl who smiled kindly.
"No need to bow to me Brielle" Brielle nodded her head with a soft smile on her face.
"Apologies your highness" Kia smiled.
"Have Eryx check the gardens. She likes to hide out there" Kia said, Brielle nodded her head thanking the young princess and turned around walking off to find the princess.
Kia smiled and turned around bunching up the bottom of her dress and ran down the hall in the opposite direction, she passed the guards and smiled at them.
The guards returned the kind smile and stopped themselves from following her at her request, they all knew she was off to find her older sister who she adored.
Princess Kia jumped down the stairs two a time and disappeared down a corridor completely out of sight of every guard in the castle and she picked up her pace.
