Ellie's Pov:
We had been sitting behind the car for a few minutes now,
I held (Y/N) close
As did Henry to Sam as we waited in silence for Joel to return
I began to hear a distant voice screaming something..
I looked over the car towards the house at the end of the street
"RUNN!!"
fear overtook me as I saw Joel Screaming out to us from the attic window to..what.. run?
"SHIT!!"
I heard (Y/N) exclaim from behind me
I looked back to see Headlights appearing at the other end of the street and multiple vehicles heading right for us...
"Go! Go! Go!" Henry yelled, taking charge,
He grabbed (Y/N) and Sam away from the incoming truck,
while I kept a tight grip on (Y/N)'s hand
We sprinted down the street heading towards the house Joel was in, as a truck gained on us
I grabbed my gun from my coat pocket as we ran and I aimed it behind me trying to shoot the driver of the vehicle..
but it was no use
And now I was out of bullets..
fuck
Because i had not been looking where I was going
I tripped over a piece of rubble causing me and (Y/N) to fall onto the hard concrete
The truck that had been chasing us veered to the left and crashed into the front of a nearby house, going up in flames...
Before exploding.
debris and fire flew everywhere.
I braced for the impact,
holding my hands around my head protectively.
Henry ran out onto the middle of the street and helped me to my feet, Before turning to (Y/N) and pulling her up before dragging us to cover where Sam was waiting
"You okay?" Henry asked, checking me for injuries.
"Yeah." I puffed,
sighing in relief
"(Y/N)- on shit"
Henry gasped
My head whipped towards (Y/N) to see she had a huge burn running along her left arm,
With huge chunks debris sticking out of it
Tears ran down her cheeks as she cradled her wounded arm,
Her right hand covered her mouth as she tried to muffle her sobbing
I didn't know what to do..
so I just pulled her into a side hug
And whispered
"It's going to be okay...
i- i will fix you up when we get out of this..okay?"
She nodded quickly before learning into my embrace,
i looked up towards Henry as he watched our exchange
and I began to noticed how guilt quickly cloud his features..
Sam clung onto me, examining
(Y/N)'s arm with concern as he shook in fear..
"Dead end, Henry."
a woman's voice called out
"Gonna step on out? Save us some time? No?
That's all right..
Doesn't matter."
Henry looked to his brother then (Y/N) before yelling
"I'll come out! Just let the kids go!"
"No. Sorry." The Woman said,
in a patronizing tone.
"The girl is with the man who killed Bryan.
And Sam and (Y/N) well, they're with you."
"You don't understand!"
"But I do. I know why you did what you did. But did you ever stop to think that maybe he was supposed to die?"
She argued
"He's just a fucking kid!" Henry cried, his voice breaking
"Well, kids die, Henry. They die the time You think the whole world revolves around him? That he's worth everything? Well, this is what happens when you fuck with fate."
Henry leant over to me and whispered
"Get ready to take them and run."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, i couldn't just leave him..
"Yes. Do it." He ordered,
as if he could hear my thoughts.
I held my hand for Sam to take
Doing the same for (Y/N),
she hissed in pain as she got up from her seat on the ground joining me and Sam in a crouched position.. ready to run
"Henry.." (Y/N) pleaded
"I'm sorry.." He apologised,
his voice shaking with every word
"I-" (Y/N) began but was cut off by the woman shouting
"It's time, Henry. Enough!"
Henry gave Sam and (Y/N) one last look, apologizing with his eyes before stepping out from behind the car with his arms raised in surrender..
I held Sam back as he struggled to go after his brother,
(Y/N) squeezing her eyes shut tightly,
knowing her friend's
gruesome fate..
"It ends the way it ends."
I heard that woman's voice again and the clicking of a gun trigger but no shot..
3rd person POV:
A loud rumbling began.
causing an armored truck to tip forwards onto its bonnet, disappearing into a fast-growing sink-hole in the ground.
Kathleen trained her gun on the sink-hole, as the sound of snarling and screeching grew louder
Suddenly A swarm of at least a hundred Infected flung themselves out of the earth they spilled out of the ground and raced towards Kathleen and her men
They shot at them but Gunfire was doing little to stop the hoard as the wave of Infected began attacking anything and everything in sight..
Henry ran back to the car and grabbed Sam,(Y/N) and Ellie, pulling them away from the infected, and behind a car for cover
A Runner lunged onto the car they were hiding behind but was shot down by Joel who was still in the house at the end of the street
Henry grabbed (Y/N) and Sam getting separated from Ellie as they sprinted in opposite directions...
