I awoke to the sound of screams..
Ellies screams.
I shot out of bed hissing in pain as I sprinted out into the next room where the screams were coming from..
Joel burst into the room just as I entered..
and what I saw horrified me
I froze.
I could hear the voice in my head yelling at me to do something! ANYTHING!
Sam was infected.
The sweet boy I had known all these years, the boy that got me into comics,The same boy that shared my passion for art, and the boy who could always make me smile.
Was gone..
And trying to infect Ellie
"Joel!! (Y/N)" Ellie cried out,
as she desperately tried to get Sam off her
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Joel reach for a gun
but Henry grabbed it first
"NO!" I yelled,
as I felt my breathing quicken
"Nope, nope, nope!"
Henry yelled, holding onto the gun
"Joel!" Ellie shrieked,
as she continued to push off Sam..
Joel took a quick step towards Ellie but Henry shot at his feet,
stopping him from rushing in to save Ellie.
By this point, I was visibly shaking as I watched Ellie get attacked by my childhood best friend...
I had to do something!
Come on do ANYTHING
I can't lose another person.
Henry's terrified eyes were locked with mine for a moment
Before he turned to Joel
A gunshot rang out.
and Sam collapsed.
"SAM! No no no"
I rushed over to his body tears flowing down my face
But took a step back in horror as crimson blood seeped from underneath him onto the floor
My knees buckled from underneath me and I fell to the ground, sobbing into my shaky hands
I felt a warm hand touch my back, I looked back to see it belonged to Ellie, She stared at Sam's corpse in shock as tears welled in her eyes, she rubbed my back in an attempt to comfort me as she tried to process what had just happened
"Ellie.." I heard Joel say softly,
"Are you okay?"
He went to go to her, but Henry raised a gun at him
Stopping Joel in his tracks.
he held up his arms and began to try to calm Henry down
"Easy, easy, easy..Henry, gimme the gun."
"H-Henry please Ju-just give it to him" I pleaded,
hearing my voice quaver
"What did I do?"
"Shh." Joel tried to calm him
"What did I do?" Henry's eyes filled with tears
"What-what-what did I do?"
His distraught gaze shifted back to Sam's body, the pool of blood growing bigger around his corpse. "Sam?"
"Henry, gimme the gun,"
Joel whispered,
reaching towards him slowly.
"Gimme the gun."
Henry shot me a look of despair before raising the gun to his temple
"NO HENRY DON'T YOU-"
I screamed,
as I got to my feet and began rushing over to the only family I had left
"Henry, no!" Joel yelled
But I was too late.
Henry fired. Just as I got over to him.
Right in front of me.
His body collapsed onto the ground, blood and other..fluids splattering at my feet.
"No no no no" I sputtered out,
feeling my heart quicken in pace as I began to feel as if I couldn't breathe
"NO FUCK WHY! NO PLEASE HENRY!!.."
I fell to the ground sobbing hysterically over my friend's corpse.
