Nuzzling on Junkyu's scent gland, JeongWoo watched as the omega sitting sideways on his lap swiped the tablet in his hands. He occasionally pressed his thumb on Junkyu's forehead, smoothing the lines that sometimes showed up as he read information about his mother.

"You're going to develop wrinkles if you keep frowning." JeongWoo said as once again, he smoothed out Junkyu's frown.

"Can you believe this?! Why would they disown him when he's pregnant?!" Junkyu showed the screen to JeongWoo even though the alpha already memorized the content.

"His parents, who are also your grandparents, wanted to marry him off to a wealthy family so they can have a better life. They believed they're going to receive a huge sum of money as dowry since he's a dominant omega. But then he got pregnant with you." JeongWoo booped Junkyu's button nose at the you.

"Nuh-uh, it's not your fault." He quickly added when Junkyu looked like he was about to blame himself again.

"Wait, let me rephrase. It's not because he got pregnant with you, but because a married man impregnated him. Back then your dad was just a prosecutor, and not yet become a prominent figure in politics. So they can't really expect much from your dad." JeongWoo explained. "That's all that we know from your aunt."

"How much money do you think can stop them from disowning him?"

"I don't know." JeongWoo shrugged. "Maybe enough for them to climb up from lower class society to mid-class?"

"What about you?"

"What about me? What?" JeongWoo's brow arched up.

"Umm... How much are you planning to give my parents as dowry for my brother?"

JeongWoo almost laughed at that. "Sugar, Doyoung is not a dominant. If any, it should be your parents who give dowry for me. For you, on the other hand..." He paused to squeeze Junkyu with his arms and rubbed his nose on Junkyu's cheek. "I'll give whatever amount your parents asked. Not because you are a dominant, but because you are my fated mate and I love you so freaking much."

Junkyu giggled as JeongWoo continued rubbing his nose on his cheek. The alpha hadn't shaved since yesterday, and his stubbles tickled the omega's sensitive skin. Junkyu pushed the bigger face off of his, causing JeongWoo to chuckle as Junkyu looked back at the tablet and his giggles transformed into a wistful smile.

"I used to envy those who were born as a dominant omega." He said, resting his head on JeongWoo's shoulder. "People adore them, treat them like they are the goddesses amongst the living. Those who don't have them sought after them like they're the most valuable gem. I used to wish I was one of them, thinking my parents would treat me differently if I'm a dominant. Stupidly didn't know I'm one myself."

"I'm sorry it happened to you." JeongWoo gently rubbed Junkyu's side with his palm.

"Don't say sorry. It's not your fault and neither is it mine." Junkyu smiled at the alpha.

"You should claim your gender back. You can do an official retest and request a new government ID." JeongWoo suggested.

Junkyu shook his head, "I don't want that. They're going to trace my family background and they're going to find out I'm my dad's son."

"So?" JeongWoo's brow quirked up.

The omega chuckled and yawned before he answered with amusement, "You're forgetting my dad is the Mayor. What do you think is going to happen when people find out he has another child? One he never mentioned to his own people he has. And isn't he running for a re-election?" He pulled his head away from JeongWoo's shoulder to look at the alpha properly at the question and rested his head back after JeongWoo gave a nod. "I'm no expert in politics, but I'm sure a family scandal is the last thing he needed to win the election."
