Chapter 30

"Sugar, don't forget your medicine." JeongWoo said as he took his laptop from the desk inside their bedroom.

"Humm, I don't think I need to take it. Did Jaehyuk tell you when I should stop taking this med?" Junkyu asked.

With laptop in his hand, JeongWoo strode to the bathroom and met with his freshly showered omega wrapped in a bathrobe, his wet hair fell messily over his face covering his eyes entirely. And JeongWoo chuckled, placing his laptop on the counter to grab a towel to dry Junkyu's hair.

"He didn't exactly say when, but there aren't that many, so I assumed you have to finish them all?" JeongWoo shrugged, unsure himself. He then began rubbing the towel on Junkyu's hair as he added, "I'll ask him later. But for now, you still have to take it."

Junkyu huffed as he outstretched his arm towards the corner of the bathroom counter where JeongWoo put a small pouch filled with the alpha's vitamins, supplements, and his own medicine. He took out a plastic container with his name on it and gasped loudly once he flipped open the lid.

"Yaahh! What is this?!" He yelled as he stared wide-eye at the content.

"Huh? What's wrong?" JeongWoo took a few steps back and Junkyu spun around, showing the mess of green color medicine on the container as he glared at the alpha. "What?" JeongWoo raised his brow as he looked back and forth at the container and his glaring omega, completely clueless.

"Alphaaa.." Junkyu said with a whining tone, his shoulders sagging down. "This isn't how you supposed to store medicine."

"Huh?" JeongWoo's head tilted to the side, utterly confused.

"I know Jaehyuk prescribed a quarter a day, but it doesn't mean you have to cut them into quarters all at once. Split them as you need, not all like this..." The omega whimpered, feeling failed as a nurse.

"Why? I thought it's more convenient and practical. You don't have to cut it every time you need, just straight take it out and into your mouth." JeongWoo rubbed his chin with his fingers as though he was seriously thinking about it.

Junkyu sighed as he put the container down but took one of the portioned pills. "Look here, Mr. Park." He said, pushing the pill close to JeongWoo's eyes. "Drugs, especially in a form of tablet like this has, what it called as, coating. Did you notice some tablets are shiny on the outside but look dry on the inside? See, like this." Junkyu started to explain, pointing out the different layers with his finger. "This is the visible example of coating. Sometimes it's not visible at all depending on the coating materials and method each pharmaceutical company use for their drugs. There are different objectives for coating tablets, and one of them is to maintain the physical and chemical integrity of the active ingredient in the drug itself. Some drugs might lose their effectiveness if exposed to the air for too long without its coating. So..."

The omega sighed for the second time and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Ahhhh it's frustrating. Disappointing. I'm disappointed!" He whined like a kid losing their candy. "You ruin this medicine, Park JeongWoooo..."

JeongWoo pressed his lips tight to prevent himself from laughing. His omega was too adorable, whining and sulking over split drugs.

Throwing the towel onto the counter, JeongWoo hooked an arm around Junkyu's waist and pulled him until their hips pressed against each other. "Okay, I'm sorry nurse Kim, I'll pay attention to it next time, hm?" He cooed and pecked the omega's pouting lips. He then snatched the medicine from Junkyu's fingers and inserted it into Junkyu's mouth, reaching for a glass of water from behind the omega after he did so. "Whether it's still effective or not, I mean, it's still the second day anyway, so...drink it." He directed the rim of the glass to Junkyu's lips.
