Y/n, Elze, Linse, and Yae walked down the busy capital streets as they headed away from the castle. Horse carts breezed by them and people called out their different wares and pitches, selling melons, fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, jewelry, weapons, and all sorts of other things. For the hustle and bustle of the streets, the city was very peaceful.
Elze: "Hey! Since we're in the capital anyway, we should get some shopping in!"
Yae: "A fine idea."
Linse: "Yep!"
Y/n nodded along anyway. He didn't want to go shopping but he used to live on a ship that was ninety-five percent women, most of which being the Valkyries, and since he was good friends with almost every Valkyrie, he'd end up going shopping a lot. Usually he was dragged around by Kiana, Mei, and Bronya, or Himeko and Theresa. Very rarely he'd actually get dragged along by Fu Hua. Shopping with Fu Hua was rather nice, as she wouldn't go on huge spending sprees, and all she'd really bring Y/n along for were for clothes, since she trusted his opinion on what looks good the most due to him being fully honest and not pranking her like Kiana would. An unintentional blush comes across Y/n's face as he thinks about the girls.
However, as Y/n walked down the street with the girls, something caught his eye. A small group of people with fox ears and fox tails were around a tree. One of the tall ones, an adult woman by the looks of it, played with two smaller children. and another tall one, an adult man, watched with a smile on his face.
Y/n: "Hey... I didn't see anyone look like that in Reflet. Is there a name for that race?"
Linse: "Their called Demi-Humans. Those are Beastmen you're looking at but we use that term to describe Elves, Dwarves, and Fairies as well."
Y/n: "Huh... cool!"
Y/n: 'Damn... this world is more fantasy than I thought it was.'
Suddenly, Elze breaks Y/n's train of though as she taps him on the shoulder and stops, pointing towards a blonde-haired girl in a pink dress in the distance.
Elze: "Hey, Y/n. What's with that girl?"
The girl was looking around worriedly like she lost something or was avoiding someone. She looked down and seemed she was about to start crying as her fox-like ears pressed down flat against her head. Y/n walked up to the girl and knelt down lower than her so that he could see her face.

Y/n: "Hey... What's wrong? Are you okay?"
Y/n tried to seem as non-threatening as possible but ultimately failed as the girl backed away five feet and clutched her chest as she yelped in surprise.
