-incoming call: Roman-
The sudden sound of Virgil's ringtone startled him. He wasn't expecting a call, but it he didn't mind it much. He'd rather talk than twiddle his thumbs and text.
"Truth or dare?" Roman asked.
"Hello to you too, Princey." Virgil replied sarcastically.
"I'm waitingggg."
"Okay, okay. Truth."
"Oooooo good choice! What was your first impression of me when we met?"
Roman asked. He was genuinely curious about this.
"You mean when you misdialed me, or when we met in person?"
"Hmmm. Both?"
Virgil chuckled as he thought of a response. He couldn't be 100% honest, that would make things awkward.
"Well, when you misdialed me I kind of just thought 'well that sucks, you were given the wrong number.' Then you did it again, and I was like 'okay this is weird'. By the third time you texted me I was like 'you know what, that's the homie.' As for when we met up in person, I was just super nervous.""I see, I see." Roman said as he chuckled.
"Yup. Your turn Princey, truth or dare?"
Roman contemplated a response.
"Dare!"
"Bold choice. For the rest of the call, you have to say 'yes'. You're a yes man from now till the end of the call."
Roman rolled his eyes. He should've seen that one coming.
"Sure Virgil. Truth or dare?" He asked, thinking of ways to get him back.
"Truth!"
"Tell me about your most embarrassing moment in school." Roman giggled, knowing he'd got him back."Hmmmmm. I don't know. Could you tell a story instead?" Virgil asked, feigning uncertainty.
"What, no, its your tu-"
"What was that? No? I thought we'd agreed that you're my yes man."
Roman scoffed. Virgil was clever.
"Okay, okay. Fine. When I was in middle school, we had an assignment in art class. We were supposed to make abstract art that 'came from the soul'. I took that a bit too literally, and tried to get the paint as close to my soul as I could. So, naturally, I poured the paint into my mouth and spat it at the canvas. My teacher was not pleased about it."
Virgil couldn't help but laugh hysterically. "Do you still have the painting?"
"Oh yeah, my mom has it hung up at home."
Virgil laughed harder, trying to catch his breath. "I'm just trying to imagine you hurling paint at a canvas like some kind of mad man." Virgil said, wiping tears from his eyes as he regained composure.
"Yeah, yeah, keep laughing. I had the best painting out of everyone!"
"I'm sure you did, Princey. Truth or dare?"
"Truth!"
"Hmmm. Okay, are you seeing someone right now?"
"Not at the moment. Why?"
"Just curious." Virgil reassured. He was curious, but he wouldn't admit why.
"Weird truth. Okay, truth or dare?"
"Dare!"
"Oooo okay. On the topic of lovers: if you have a crush, you have to text them and ask them for feet pics."
"PRINCEY!"
"Thems the rules!" Roman laughed.
"No. How about YOU take the dare instead." Virgil exclaimed through his laughter.
"Oh right, the yes man thing." Roman sighed in defeat. He really couldn't win.
"Fine. But on this condition: it doesn't have to be right now."
"Then when?" Virgil asked.
"Whenever I please!" Roman exclaimed. "And I do not please to do it eight now."
Virgil sighed. "Okay, okay fine. But you better follow through, Prince man. I've got my eye on you."
"I will, I'll even send you screenshots!!"
"You better. I'll talk to you later, I'm gonna make dinner."
"Ooo what are you making?"
"Come over and find out Princey."
"Ooo okay! Text me the address later"
"Will do. See you later."
