Marshmallow held Bow's hand as they'd made their way towards the playroom for the children in the hotel. It had been down the renovated hallway that also led to the new living room. The far back room was a storage room—as one could have guessed due to the many stacked boxes within. Marshmallow needed to assist with getting acquainted with the hotel once more, so she'd thought it'd be best to leave her and Apple with all the toys in the meantime. Bow's slightly smaller hand in hers was comforting. Alluded to her safety, and that had been enough for Marshmallow in the moment.
For the most part.
Bow seemed more than happy, she was quite pleased with being able to have seen and done so much more than when she was a ghost.
The playroom itself was a small enclosed room with a singular window against the back wall on the far left. A chandelier hung above the room which had colourful stars hanging off of it. A few shelves with toys and board games, and a large toy box beneath the window. The centre of the floor—which unlike the other rooms in the hotel, was entirely hardwood—had a colourful circular carpet. There had also been a mat near the toy box with road designs on it.
The room at the time had been quite messy, a few were in the room playing, after all. Yin-Yang, Goo, and the Cherries were all playing with different toys.
"I'm going to leave you two here, okay? Don't fight." Marshmallow warned, waving a finger at both of them. She'd known that it had for the most part been a lost cause. However, she hoped the talk they'd had earlier would help a fraction if at all.
"We won't!" Apple sang, excitedly bouncing on her toes.
"Yeah, we're like, so well behaved. Trust." Bow's hand slipped from Marshmallow's grasp, to be firmly placed upon her hips.
"Alright, I trust both of you to behave for an hour or so." She took a step back, "Don't leave the room without asking okay?"
"Okay!"
"Mhm."
"Good..." Marshmallow stepped out of the doorway and down the hall. Exhaling her nerves as she made her way towards the lobby stairs.
Apple had almost instantly made her way over towards the toy box. She had to be careful not to stop upon Goo while she made her way by. She wasted no time wanting to dig through the collection of toys that hotel OJ had congregated for their babysitting program. Which OJ had used to gain enough money for renovations as a side hustle. They no longer engaged in such a program anymore, though everyone had seen the odd flyer in town before.
Bow stumbled over clumsily to the crayons, and paper. Scattered out across the floor upon the bare hardwood. Yin and Yang were also drawing, though mostly Yin had been actually trying. Yang seemed bored, his half of the body sprawled out as if he'd been being tortured by sitting still.
Bow wished to draw but that had not meant she would not watch the pathetic sight with minor amusement. She wondered if they would start fighting. Of course they would, after all they had very different definitions of 'fun'.
Yin was attempting to draw a leak object with leaves that faded into a nice teal colour. Bow recognized the individual faintly, some sort of digital Popstar.
Yang had other ideas, which was to scribble as much red and orange all over the page as possible. The action had completely ruined Yin's drawing.
"Yang!" Yin exclaimed, dropping his own crayon on the paper.
"You've ruined it! How is anyone supposed to know who this is now?"
"It is nobody! Nobody can survive an explosion, not even our favourite singer!" He'd shouted, of course Yang loved who Yin had drawn—he loved explosions much more.
