Hello, I just wanted to have a chat with you guys real quick. This is of personal preference and informational for the most part.

I think it's about time I communicate this with you guys, since, I've been seeing it a lot and I myself have been feeling drained by both cause and effect of this particular issue. And it's very difficult for me to stay silent about this, though it might ruin some of the lore I wanted to keep secret, sadly.

Defending the actions of a character in the wrong within crowned specifically is something that I really dislike seeing. And while I'd like to try and keep up with public positive view of a character. I don't want this to happen anymore.

All characters in crowned have pieces of my experiences within them. this is not only for the relatable exposure purposes, but because it helps validate not only myself, but others who have experienced things similar. OJ being example one. I've seen people hate on Balloon for being upset with OJ, not only that, but for simply disliking his character. While I do not mind the disliking of Balloon, or any character for that matter, please don't invalidate projected content that may have a real impact on not only myself, but others. It shows that your traumas can be invalidated simply because "you aren't likeable enough to deserve it". Which completely throws aside the entire point of the book.
I'd also like to clarify OJ is not a good person in crowned. While all his canon aspects are mostly present, he wasn't forced into taking in everyone by Paper, it was his decision to do so. OJ in Crowned, while better than other AUs, has difficulty feeling empathy and sees the hotel as having the control he never got as a child. Therefore dictating the kids within it to feel in control. He chose to do this. While he did have a reason, that doesn't make his verbal abuse okay. You can very clearly see his wanting for control in the fact he's excited to be a deity.

Balloon and some others are being mistreated and simply hating them over being reasonably upset may harm actual victims who feel this way.

I'd like to continue in this by talking about Cobs's behaviour. As I've been called various terrible things for his portrayal, though not inaccurate to real life behaviours, because it's "not how he acts in the show" and that I'm "mischaracterizing him". You need to understand that in Crowned I never claimed him to be accurate to his canon character. He's not meant to seem like a fictional character. Because he's not. I don't want to feel disgusting or have content glorifying projections of a real life person out there. There is a reason why mephone4 in my content is so heavily personified and it makes me incredibly upset when people treat it like I'm writing this for shock factor. It's not. There's a reason. The feeling in your gut that makes anyones actions feel too real is purposeful.
People who are angered over how I portrayed Baseball, also don't seem to realize that it is projection as I have been in Nickel's situation before.
Paper, another example. People say he's a great dad, and he IS! But that's the problem. He's destroying himself for the protection of kids he can't handle. The exact opposite approach of OJ. He never feels like he's done enough which makes him want to do better. But it's killing him...
Knife is being hated for trying to protect someone he cares about, but can't see the fact that who they are trying to protect them from...they might not be a bad person and but he only wants the best.
Test Tube is being hated on for reasonably feeling hurt by Fan's dismissive behaviour, despite Fan clearly showing disinterest in her well-being even though Test Tube had only done right by him.
The Taco haters saying Taco DESERVES to have her crippling internalized hate for herself because she's dont wrong in the past, that she deserved to feel completely outcasted and shamed for playing on a reality show. And that she will never recover.

You can dislike their characters and clown on them yes. When they trip and fall laugh! I'll laugh with you! When they say something dumb? Quote it! In a casual conversation just go off! I don't care in honesty!
But please. Please. Do not do so to justify the wrong doings of another on projected struggles. You're not only telling the character it doesn't matter, but all of us who identify with them.
