Paper lifted his head... God had his skull been pounding in that moment. He took a reluctant glance at what surrounded, only to his pleasant surprise to find it hadn't been a cage. Rather, it was a large tent, and bandages were placed over his head. He hadn't been bound or anything. But, he was not going to let his guard down. He rose to his feet, looking for anything to defend himself with. His hand drawing along with the intent of defence seemed to have drawn a line of light in the air, slowly forming what seemed to be a spear of sorts. He flinched, and stumbled back... The light then flickered and sparked into nothingness.
"What the hell..." He whispered, slightly panicked and still disoriented. He furrowed his brows and repeated the action. The white light emerged once more from the tips of his fingers. He slowly reached a hand out and grabbed it... the light made the coherent shape of a massive clock hand. His eyes drew along the silver blade, which had gemstones that flowed with a blue light. Amazed he moved it around, it had been light, almost weightless, yet longer than his entire body had been. He drew the spear down. The silver tip clanking lightly against the floor below. His face seemed astonished And hummed fondly. The slight swish of the air parting for the blade made Paper tilt his head. Both in shock and impression.
His eyes turned aside towards the door, the cloth swaying in the wind. How long had he'd been out for? He took a step but nearly stumbled over himself. Having to lean on the large spear which surprisingly held his weight well for it's own nature. A slow step towards the door followed. His head had been pounding... But, he'd needed to defend himself, and find Balloon. Brave the pain he must.
His hand drew the tent open, to which he'd seen someone standing just beyond. He flinched and swiped at them instantly. Tree made a loud yelp and tumbled back to the ground with a loud thud. Looking up at the blade in near awe. The way it sparkled, though used to attack him, it had been almost mesmerizing. He opened his mouth to speak with Paper, "How have you—?!"
Paper growled through his teeth and stabbed into the dirt beside Tree as he reached out. Paper hadn't wanted to hurt Tree so he wasn't aiming to kill. Paper must have put too much weight into his swing because he nearly fell over again. Stumbling, he grunted and swung at Tree who ducked back into the dirt with another yelp. He stared at Paper in mere scared astonishment for a beat or two, But he soon shook himself out of his trance as Paper stormed off to look for Balloon. Tree getting to his feet only to be swung at again. Others similarly attempting to stop him froze and backed off. Paper's glowing eyes made all the reason to not interfere. They hadn't guessed Paper was of similar nature to Balloon. Not fully, at least.
Balloon had been sitting near the base of a tree by the tree line. His gaze distant and saddened. He felt weak, and horrible for the things he'd done. He couldn't understand why everything had to happen the way it had. He wished he could make it right, but he knew deep down that he'd made a mistake. Many mistakes. And he had to pay the price for acting irrationally. Even if there was a reason as to why he'd been so scared.
The moment Paper spotted Balloon, he ran towards him. His feet scrambling for proper foothold as he grabbed onto the boy's shoulders which made him yelp, startled. Paper's spear sparked into nothingness briefly before it could clatter against the dusty compacted dirt below. He breathed erratically, almost in a heavy manner trying to make sure Balloon had been uninjured. "Are you alright?! What happened?!" He asked with haste, his eyes filled to the brim with worry.
Balloon blinked and slowly moved himself away from Paper, "I... You were knocked out...! Are- are you okay Paper? I—..."
"Hey!" Fries called with slight anger and concern. Which made Paper growl, turning around and swiping through the air with a scowl. The spear forming again. And the other froze in an instant. Paper glared with eyes that could kill.
