Love and Hunt

Chapter Twelve

I had been alone in Grace's premises. Alex had been out as this was his first day of working part-time in the restaurant where Grace had worked. Her manager told her that the restaurant opened part-time job; and I was glad that Alex could be employed. He told Grace that he wanted to help Grace to earn money for living. But I still tried to get the way and happiness when I had known that I had been in the situation that I had to leave Will forever. Thinking about the hatred and the anger toward our kind, I knew that I could hide my true identity from Will. But I didn't think I could run away from my family and those witches. I was sure they would stop me from getting married with Will. I had been sitting on this sofa while my hands wrapping my legs that I had put on this sofa. I had felt the sadness already. When I looked on my smartphone that I had put on the table in front of me, I saw there was a notification on it. Will had replied my message. I decided to stay still as the worry had grown stronger inside me. I had so scared that I had to leave Will as I had to get married with the man that had been chosen by my father.

It felt unfair for me as I began to feel regret for being born as a witch. It made me away from the guy that I loved as he was a man. I could feel that my tears flowing out of my eyes when I could feel the pain from being heartbroken. I couldn't hold my tears to stop from moving out of my eyes, and I started crying. I covered my face with my palms. I just couldn't accept what had happened to me. I had loved Will very much. And at the end, I would have to leave him. It was hurting for me, and I was still crying. I tried to stop. I tried to strengthened myself about the truth that I had to face. I tried to calm myself when I still believed that I would find the way to get my love. I wiped the tears coming down over my cheeks. And I became silent as I began to think what I had to do for running away from that witch and living together with Will. I kept looking at the clouds up there through the window. And I began to find the way that could help me from the marriage that I didn't want as I had chosen the husband that I wanted. I kept thinking about the plan that I would use to get away from the marriage that my father wanted as I believed that the plan would help me when I told my father that I didn't want to get married with the witch that he had chosen.

I had seen the news from TV in front of me till the night had come. I was glad that I hadn't found the news about kidnapping or murdering by Jacob's witches even Luna. I was still waiting for Grace going back home. And I still remembered that Alex wouldn't come together with Grace as he got second shift. He would be in Grace's premises around midnight. But I didn't think those witches had stopped hunting down those people in this city. But I wondered why Jacob stopped his witches from hunting down those people in this city. The silence was still surrounded me while I was waiting for Grace to come home. I started feeling hungry. When I was about to make a sandwich, I heard the knocks on the door of Grace's premises. I got up from the sofa and made for the door. I turned the key and unlocked the door. I pulled the door and found Grace standing outside. She got inside with a paper bag. I didn't know what was inside the paper bag. Then, I shut the door and locked it.

"I have fried chicken and Fries for you." She said as making for the dining table.

"Have you got the location where Jacob is hiding?" I said.

"Not yet." She said as putting down the paper bag on the dining table. "He still doesn't want to pick up his phone. But I keep trying to call him till he tells me where he is hiding. He has broken his promises."

"What if he still doesn't want to pick up his phone?" I said.

"Then, I have to call your father." She said.

"I wonder how my father will help us to find the location where Jacob has been hiding." I said as sitting on one of the dining chairs. Then, I opened the paper bag.

"I'm sure he has the solution." She said. "Clean your hands first, Anna."

"All right." I said.

I had been worried about Will. I was afraid if Luna would kill him. I didn't know where she had been hiding, and I only knew that Will had gone for work as my message had not been replied by him. While I was sitting on this sofa, Grace was waiting for Jacob to pick up his phone. She had called him few times, but Jacob hadn't answered her calls. I didn't know what I had to do to get out from the marriage if Jacob couldn't be found. I wouldn't be able to run my plan. And I knew I had to leave Will for the witch that I wouldn't be able to love him. I still starred at Grace who was still holding her smartphone on her ear to wait Jacob picking up his phone. I had been uncomfortable. I didn't know how long it would go. And I began to be worried as the love that had grown inside me for Will couldn't be erased from me.

"I think you need to call my father." I said as Grace put her smartphone away from her ear. Then, she looked at me. "We won't waste time. I think he tries to block us from stopping his plan that is to kill those people in this city."

"Well, it makes sense." She said. Then, she looked back on her smartphone. After typing on her smartphone, she put her smartphone on her ear. Then, she waited for my father to pick up her phone.

"Hello, Mr. Stone." She said. "I have to tell you that Jacob doesn't want to answer my calls. What do we have to do?"

I waited what would happen. I waited for the event that would happen. I still held the plan that would get me out of that marriage with the witch because of my father. My plan would work if I could kill Jacob. When I still looked at Grace who hadn't moved her smartphone from her ear, I still couldn't escape from the worry that I would get married with that witch. I wanted to know right away about the words that were spoken by my father to her. I truly expected that I could know about the solution from my father right away but Grace still hadn't spoken any words. Then, she took her smartphone away from her ear.

"Jane will help us." Grace said. "That's the solution from your father."

"How she will help us?" I said.

"She will use her black butterflies to find where Jacob is hiding." Grace said.

"I never hear about Jane before." I said.

"Because she is not always included in the fights." She said. "It's caused by her spell."

"What is her spell?" I said.

"She can find any witches even they are hiding using her black butterflies." She said. "That's helpful spell. Actually, I know about her spell. But using her spell has to be approved by your father. I am glad that she will help us."
