Love and Hunt

Chapter Fourteen

I would make an agreement with my father. And I had to make that agreement to get me out of that matchmaking. I truly didn't want to be paired with a man that I didn't love. I would tell my father that when I could kill Jacob, it meant he had to let me get married with Will.

"A man discovered the dead bodies of the twin witches." Grace said as sitting on that sofa.

"Yeah, I have seen the news on TV." I said as sitting on this chair with the curiosity of the location where Jacob had been hiding as Grace still hadn't got call from my father about where Jacob had been hiding. Grace was off from work this day, but Alex wasn't. he had been waiting with two of us by sitting on the arm of the sofa over there.

Grace, then turned on the TV as there was no call coming into her smartphone that had been put on that table in front of the sofa. When the TV had turned on, I read the headline on the news. It was about the rare thunder had killed two pedestrians. From the location that was shown on the news, it could be seen that it was taken on the street in front of the restaurant where Grace and Alex were working. The news anchor said that it was the first event happened in this city. And the male news anchor reported that the police were still waiting for the answer of that rare thunder from meteorologist in this city.

When the news about that rare thunder that hit this city was changed, the news about missing people emerged on the TV. The news anchor said that the three missing people had been searched by the police officers as they had been gone when they were not in their bedroom in the morning. The police officer assumed that the three missing people had been kidnapped by the witch with black hoody cloak as the police in this city couldn't find any evidences that the kidnap was done by people. The police officer also stated that the police department of this city was still working on the search for those three kidnapped people.

"If we still get nothing about the location of where Jacob is hiding, I'm sure there will be more people in this city being killed by those witches." I said.

"We can only wait for now, Anna." Grace said.

"Why don't you try to call Jacob again?" Alex said. "Probably, he wants to pick hi phone this time as we have seen that his witches have killed few people in this city."

Grace touched her smartphone and typed on it. Then, she let her smartphone stay on the table and activated the speakerphone so that Alex and I could hear what Jacob said with her. Grace's smartphone was still calling Jacob. Three of us were still waiting. I began to think about Will. I still couldn't escape from the fear if Sam or Luna could kill him. I didn't want that happening to Will. I wanted to stay alive. I wanted to live together with him. Killing Jacob right away would save Will from being hunted by those witches.

"Hello," Jacob said through Grace's smartphone.

"You've broken your promise to me, Jacob." Grace said. "We have killed the twins, but you didn't want to meet with us. You've lied to us. Now, tell me where you're hiding."

"The twins are ones of them," Jacob said. "Defeat those witches of mine, and you will be able to see me. I'm sure they won't let you kill them like you have done to the twins."

"Don't sacrifice those witches for your protection, Jacob." Alex said. "You're a coward."

"No, I don't use them for my protection." Jacob said. "They are in their revenge. They won't let anyone stop them from their revenge even their own kind. And I'm not a coward, Alex."

Then, Jacob hung up the phone.

"We still have to count on Jane's black butterflies." Grace said.

I could the anger. I could feel that I wanted to run and put my spell on Jacob. I wanted to get what I wanted. I wanted to escape from the hold of my father that he still could take me and get married with the witch that he had chosen for me. Then, Grace's smartphone was ringing. She looked on the screen.

"It's from Mr. Stone." She said. I hoped my father would tell me the location of where Jacob was hiding.

"Hello, Mr. Stone." Grace said after picking up her phone. And I was waiting Grace for telling me the location of where Jacob was hiding.

"That sounds great." Grace said. "Tell me the location."

That word had been waited by me as I felt like I couldn't stay longer in this premises. I wanted to come to Jacob with the three spells that I had. I wouldn't let him alive. I could feel the difference. This wasn't what I felt when I would fight against the twin witches for killing them. I was so scared as I would kill witches. But when I would kill Jacob, I didn't feel the fear or scare anymore. I knew that if I didn't kill him, I wouldn't get married with Will. I was still looking at Grace who was still listening what my father said to her. Then, she took her smartphone away from her ear and hung up the phone.

"Jane's black butterfly has found Jacob in the abandoned warehouse where the twins killed those twenty police officers." Grace said. "But Jane said that Jacob wasn't alone in that abandoned warehouse, he was with other witches. One of them was Luna. We need a plan before going there."

"I'm sure if we can kill other witch, Luna will take him to other place." Alex said.

"She has been a problem for us." Grace said. "I'm still wondering about her reason of joining with those witches for being on Jacob's side."

"Your spell will be helpful, Grace." Alex said. "If you're invisible, you can kill Jacob."

"If Jacob is alone, Grace can kill him when she is invisible by her spell." I said. I couldn't let Grace or even Alex to be the one who killed Jacob. It had to be me as it would be for the agreement that I would make with my father, so that I could escape from the matchmaking. "I don't think he will be alone. I'm sure those witches keep protecting him."

"She's right." Grace said.

"But you can check the place by your spell." Alex said. "Being invisible when checking that abandoned warehouse will be fine for you."

"That sounds better." She said. "That abandoned warehouse isn't far from here, and I can take a walk to get there."

"I want to join you, Grace." I said.

"No, Anna," She said. "It's for the check. We need to know about those witches that are in that abandoned warehouse. If we know about the witches, we can create a plan to kill Jacob."

"She's right, Anna." Alex said. "We can't lose this chance."

"Well, all right." I said.

I saw Grace getting out of the sofa and making for the door of her premises. I was still sitting on this chair till she opened the door. Then, she left me alone with Alex in her premises. Grace shut the door, and I still got nothing about how I could kill Jacob as Luna had been on his side. It was not easy, and I had to get Jacob killed for the agreement that I would make with my father.

"I think I need to get a nap before going to work." Alex said and lay down on the sofa. When I looked at Alex, he had closed his eyes. Then, I got up from this chair and walked to the kitchen. I kept walking until I reached the handle of refrigerator. I pulled the handle and looked for the bottle of milk. When I found it, I took the bottle of milk out of the refrigerator. Then, I picked one of the glasses. I poured the milk into the glass when I had sat on the dining chair. I hoped I could get an idea with having milk.
