•"Not Ours"•

*Y/N POV*
My aunt and little cousin were at my house. My aunt needed to go to work so she asked me to watch my 3 year old cousin, Kayla. I agreed and decided to go to the store and get some groceries.

I remembered that Shawn, my boyfriend was supposed to come over to hang out. I heard a knock on the door so I went to check it. It was Shawn so I let him in.

"Hey baby, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you sooner but it turns out that I have to watch my little cousin Kayla. We were just about to go to the store if you wanna go.?"

"Hi babe and it's completely fine. I actually wanna help watch her so let's go." He said looking down at her while she clinged to my leg hiding.

I opened the door and asked Shawn if he could get her while I got her car seat off the porch.

"Kay, this is Shawn. He's a very nice boy and he's gonna take you to the car. Let him pick you up okay?" I asked her

"Otay." She replied while raising her arms for him to pick her up.

He did and she snuggled her face into his neck.

"He smells good!" She said out loud while smiling.

Me and Shawn both busted out laughing hysterically because that's what I always say.
I walked out to my car with the car seat and put it in. After I did that Shawn followed me to the seat and put her in making sure to be careful strapping in her fragile body well.

I hopped into the driver seat and Shawn got into the passenger right after. I then drove off to Walmart.

Once we arrived I turned the car off, unbuckled my seat belt, grabbed my phone, keys, and wallet, and then got out.

I walked to the side Kayla was on and opened the door. I got her out and started walking into the store, holding her with Shawn following right behind us.

When we got inside, I sat her into shopping cart and we started waking to the Grocery section.

Kayla would look at chips, candy, cookies, drinks, etc. and point at it for us to get. Me giving in and spoiling her, I got her most of the thugs she wanted.

After getting the food we went to the toy isles so she could pick out one toy because she was being good.

She kept looking at the baby dolls and telling me how they "are pretty" and that "real babies stink".

She wanted to get out so Shawn picked her up and put her on the floor so she could walk. He told her to hold his hand so she grabbed onto his finger.

An older woman walked down the isle and smiled at us.

"You all are such an adorable family. She's a cutie. You both make beautiful babies. You should be proud of yourselves being young parents and all."

"She's not ours." Both Shawn and I said at the same time quickly

"I mean, she's my little cousin and he's my boyfriend. He just decided to tag along while I was babysitting her." I said smiling.

"Oh, I am so sorry honey. I didn't know but just so you both know, you'll make amazing parents one day." She said apologizing for her mistake followed by her walking away.

I looked at Shawn and saw him smiling really big. I followed his actions by doing the same.
He turned to me and we kissed. While in the middle of it we hear a small voice saying "Ew. dat's nasty. Shawnie and Y/N sittin' in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G" after giggling. We pull away and start to laugh.

"Come on crazy girl. Let's get outta here." I say while shaking my head and grabbing her from Shawn.
