•First Word's•

*Shawn's POV*
Y/N just left to go get groceries and I am watching our 6 month old daughter, Charlotte. We were in the living room floor playing with her toys when I started to get hungry.

I picked her up and carried her to the kitchen. I sat her in the highchair and started looking in the fridge and cabinets for food. I found muffins and I really wanted one. I grabbed the muffin and got out a can of baby food along with it. I picked out banana because it's her favorite kind.

I sat my muffin down on the counter and opened the can of food. I grabbed a baby spoon and walked over to her. I pulled a chair out and sat it directly in front of the high chair. I started to feed her the baby food and she loved it as always.

I grabbed my muffin to take a bite when I heard..

"Mu-Muff!"

I realized it was Charlotte and started to smile extremely big. I ran to the living room and grabbed my phone. I FaceTimed Y/N and she answered after 3 rings.

"Hey Shawn!" She said smiling and I could tell she was still in the grocery store.

"Hey honey, Charlotte just said her first word.."

"Oh that's goo- WAIT.. WHAT? WHAT DID SHE SAY?" She said freaking out

"Yeah, she almost said muffin."

"Charlotte, what's this?" I said pointing at the muffin

"Muff!" Charlotte squealed

"Did you hear that Y/N?"

"Oh my god.. I did.. My baby is growing up!" She said on the verge of crying

"I have to finish feeding her and you need to finish shopping so I will see you when you get home.. I love you. Charlotte say bye-bye to mommy!"

She opens and closes her hand as a wave and says "Ma"

"OH MY GOD! SHE JUST SAID MA" Y/N screamed

"I know! I love you baby and I will see you when you get here. Be safe!"

"Okay.. I will and I love you both too!" She replies.

I hang up and give Charlotte kisses all over her face. I finish feeding her and take her back into the living room. I sit her down in front of me on the floor.

"Char, can you say Daddy?"

"Lammabookiiida" she blabbers

"We will work on it.."

I lay her down and start to tickle her tummy. She starts to giggle and then squeal. I look at her and just smile because she's so beautiful and she's mine. I look at my phone and realize it's her nap time.

I'm tired too so I lay down on the couch and lay her on top of my stomach. I start to rub her back and within a couple of minutes she's fast asleep quietly snoring. I fall asleep right after that with a smile on my face.

*Y/N POV*
I unlock the door and walk inside. I carry the groceries into the kitchen and hear a quiet house. It's strange because it's never quiet. I walk into the living room to see Shawn asleep with Charlotte on his chest asleep also.

I smile and pull out my phone. I take a picture and sit my phone down. I just look at them in awe. I'm so lucky, I have an amazing husband a beautiful daughter. I still can't believe she said her first word. She's growing up so fast!
