What is even happening?

It was the next morning, the next morning after me and Casey basically spent all the night talking about each other interests. I'm just so confused with everything going on right now. I feel way too overwhelmed with everything.

I walked downstairs after getting ready and was greeted by my mom per usual and left for school. It is Thursday which means only one day with Casey then I can be alone during weekend. I met up with Ryan who was drinking coffee. "So, you and Casey?" he muttered out. "Nothing is going on between us Ryan, we just had a project to work on." I snapped at him. He gave me a disappointed look then looked away heading to school.

Classes in the morning are always boring especially the history class, although seeing Casey was making me feel some things. Argh, I'm not falling for her.

Finally we reached to lunch where I sit and talk to Ryan about how much we hate this school. I look over at popular table and see Casey, she was wearing sweatpants with some jumper that looked so comfortable. I look back over at Ryan to continue talking to him. "I feel overwhelmed today" I stuttered out at Ryan. "Hey, it will be okay. You'll be okay." Ryan gently gave me a nice hug and the let go of me. I was not exactly talkative today especially since all my feelings are everywhere.

I noticed Casey and her friend Sarah were coming over to my table, I wonder why. "You look overwhelmed pretty" Casey whispered into my ear while I look over at them both. I let out a gentle sigh and hoping they will go away soon. "There's a basketball game on Friday, if you two want to come and support the woman team." Sarah quickly said while giggling, clearly she wasn't being serious or genuine. "We try our best to be there" Ryan quickly said before looking over at me comforting me. I nodded and looked at Casey, I noticed that her eyes glow when the sun hits it. God, what even happening. Casey and Sarah eventfully walk away and me and Ryan get a moment of peace. "That was awkward" I muttered out and got out of my chair to go to my next two classes.

Once classes have ended I met up with Casey again so we can work on the project. I swear we will work on this project and I won't get distracted. We entered into Casey house and went back to her room. Casey took off her jumper and sat on the bed with me. "I saw you were overwhelmed today" Casey let out a sigh while looking at me. "Oh, yeah everything bit too much for me" I said back quickly. She comes closer to me and I could smell her nice vanilla smell near me. "It'll be okay" she whispered to me before going back to her regular spot. That sent shivers down my spine.

We worked on the project a little more and just got bored of it, once again we started talking about deep topics about each other life. I look over at Casey and noticed how she always pays attention with every detail I tell her. "You're so obsessed with looking at me" Casey started to smirk at me and I looked away "no, I am not" I responded fast trying defend myself. "I think you are" Casey responded back and tried to get me to look at her but I wouldn't let her until she started to tickle me which obviously made me look at her. We made eye contact for few seconds before breaking it off. "Pretty eyes" Casey smirked at me while I smiled at her "yeah, I do have pretty eyes"

"You have to come to the game tomorrow, I know Sarah did not sound serious but it would be cool if you came along" Casey eventfully ended up speaking again to me. "I'll try and be there, anxiety might not let me though but I'll force Ryan to come with me" I said to her before staring into space again. "Would love to see you there" Casey mumbled out which I barely heard her saying. I looked back over her and saw she was looking right at me. It felt weird, it felt like we had some connection that I never knew would exist.

"Shit, it's getting late, I need to go home" I said while getting up from Casey bed. "See you at game tomorrow" Casey said to me while I nodded to agree with her. I quickly made my way out of her house and went back home. My mom was not home, she never usually is at night since she always on night shifts. I went back to my room and phoned Ryan fast to tell him what had happened.

"I think she has a thing for you Abbie" Ryan said in response to me talking about it. "No, she just wants to use me for something" I snapped at him before letting out a sigh and a yawn. We both agreed that we are pretty tired so we should try and go to sleep. Ryan did agree to come to the game with me tomorrow even though he hates sports, to be honest I do at times too. I grabbed a book to read before I go to sleep because it helps me calm my mind. I notice my phone light up and see Casey name appear again in my instagram dms.

Casey: Did you get home safe?
Abbie: Yeah, I did need sleep though
Casey: You coming tomorrow?
Abbie: I'll try

I put my phone down, Casey cared enough if I got home safe and asked if I was coming tomorrow? What even is happening to me right now. I don't even know. The girl who does not notice anyone but people in her group all sudden notice me and cares for me.
