childhood friends.

rias, sona and izuku were sitting on a table. as there was a chess board in front of izuku and sona. rias was simply watching this. 

izuku: "I take it as my victory again?"

rias: "how are you doing this?"

sona was about to cry due to her third loss against izuku. sure he beat her many times in chess before. but this time was a bit different. 

30 minutes ago:

rias: "UUURRGGGHH!!!"

rias covered her face in frustration. she had already lost to sona 4 times in a row already. whats worse izuku was watching. normally sona would feel smug about it given she outperformed her rival/childhood friend, but this game was different. before the game izuku took some of the pieces from rias's side and forced her to play with missing pieces. rias was already wouldnt be able to defeat sona with all the pieces but with a handicap like this was impossible.

rias: "I already cant beat her regularly how am I suppose to beat her with missing pieces?"

sona: "as much as I want to feel smug about it, she is right."

izuku: "well then girls, how about a demonstration."

izuku sat down and cracked his fingers. once the board was reset, izuku took some of the pieces out.

sona: "wait..... what are you?"

izuku: "I kinda figured rias wouldnt be able to beat you. so I didnt want to give her that much of a handicap against you. but for me, I wont be needing........ these pieces."

at the end izuku only had a king, queen, a knight, a rook, 2 bishops, and a pawn. 

izuku: "this is all I am going to need."

now:

izuku: "would you like another demonstration?"

sona was about to cry now. sure she accepted that izuku was smarter than her, but the idea of even with handicap she cant win was hitting her hard. highclass devils, regardless of their personality always had some level of pried in their abilities or talent. and this was a blow to hers. 

izuku: "see rias? I am going to bet that the pimp wont be as smart, so your victory against him is pretty possible."

rias: "just looking at this board gives me nausea. I cant beat her with a full deck and here you are beating the smartest girl I know with half of your pieces missing."

izuku simply chucked and looked at her. 

izuku: "well, how about we give your brains a little rest. a physical training should help you rest your mind. to the yard, both of you."

they both followed him to the yard. and both of them were wearing legging as sports bra. sure this is training but they can still look good while doing it. especially in front of their crush. once outside izuku turned to them. 

izuku: "for your training you will focus on your weaknesses. sona, your task is simple. in order to increase your power output, I will force you to strain your demonic power."

rias: "do you want me to send large wave of attacks?"

izuku: "not really. sona you are good at casting barriers am I right? we can also do it that way. for this, I will send large attacks on your way. and you will be defending yourself from that."

she nodded and he turned to rias.

izuku: "rias, for you we need to train your control. so I need you to keep shooting your demonic power in low but at a continuous output. while doing so I will continuously distract you in any shape or form. and for every time you lose focus, there is going to be a punishment."
