Aurie was looking around, it was her first social event ever since she came into the school and knew no one but Avril who she met in class. The two girls became friends easily and that was pretty much the only one she had. The announcement and engagement made, Aurie shook her head. 'Another arrange marriage...' the raven head told herself as she saw the redhead's expression. The fact that the Slytherin girl wasn't the one to approach anyone since she has been transfered didn't mean that she hated social interraction but it was hard to her since the girl has been rejected from her own parents' house and obligated to change school.

The ball opened with the newly engaged's first dance, followed by other couple. Her golden eyes laid on a handsome silver haired boy, her heart raced immediatly to his alluring presence. Aurie tried to look away, not willing to fall for someone, not that easily and surely not so soon after being transfered. She learned her lesson with her ex-fiancé that the girl poisoned to safe her own life after learning that the boy she loved so much wanted to kill her after the wedding for her inheritage. Even with the strongest will, Aurie couldn't help but to look at him, she felt a sensation never felt before but couldn't put a name on it yet. Eventually, the girl noticed that the boy was dancing with no other than Avril. Was he the fiancé her friend told her about? If it was the case, she would once more be in trouble and Aurie truly didn't need it right now.

The raven haired girl forced herself to look away from them and decided to not pay any further attention. She went to one of the drink table and started to sip her drink while looking around, taking mental notes of the decorations. If there was something Aurie loved to do, it was to throw parties just to be able to decorate the rooms and makes everything look perfect so when she was invited, the girl always made sure to pay attention to details to inspire herself new ideas. However, her peace looking at how well the ballroom was prepared was disturb by someone clearing his throat behind her. With a sigh, Aurie turned around, thinking who the hell dared to disturb her but that thought quickly fade away when she saw before her widened eyes the beautiful white haired boy. Once more, her heart raced against her will and hoped for it to stopped as soon as possible.

"Good evening miss, I'm Septimus Malfoy." he said with a bow, not wanting to cross the limits with a foreigner he knew nothing about.

"Why bothering talking with someone you don't know?" Aurie asked as she regained a little bit control on her mind.

"Wow, I didn't expected that kind of answer." he said with a chuckle, Septimus was startled by her behaviour. "Usually, the other person present themself first before starting any conversation."

"If it pleases you..." she said with a sigh. "Aurie Cartier. Now, why bothering to talk with me?"

"Well, I just wanted to see if our guests were having a nice evening and get to know them, isn't how high society works?" he replied amused, she was truly something else.

"Right, I'm enjoying my evening thank you. Now what? There's nothing more here to be discussed."

Malfoy was taken aback with how Aurie was responding him but she wouldn't open up to someone she just met. The raven head wanted nothing more than talking to him but she wouldn't let it show. A mix between the want to see him stay and making him go away was taking over her, not knowing what to do about these feelings. Despite this behaviour of hers, his desire to get to know her more didn't go away.

"If there's nothing to talk about then how about we share a dance? Would you do me the honour to grant me a dance?" Septimus asked, bowing slightly as he offered his hand to her.

She shouldn't, couldn't and yet Aurie placed her hand into his palm as an acceptation of his invitation. Malfoy's smile widened, straightened back and lead the beautiful woman to the dancefloor. The raven head couldn't help it, this man lured her with one of her weaknesses: dance. Indeed, Aurie was one of the best dancer back in France at her previous wizarding school in Beauxbâtons. It was one of the rare school to have dance classes because in France, dance was considered as a major art form, or social and political significance and that ever since the seventeenth century.
