Maya joined her guest room after Ominis sent her there. The girl went to take a bath to let all the emotions of the night cool down and to try to get her mind clear but the more she was trying, the more he invaded her thoughts.

His honey locks, his cerulean eyes, his soft skin, his scent, the ginger haired girl couldn't help but to let every bit of him be in her mind, daydreaming about him. Her heart raced instantly to the image of his face coming into her closed eyes, her fingertips tracing the lines where he touched on her skin. A sigh of pleasure came out of her red lips when the girl reminisced about the feel of him against her.

Her emerald eyes opened, leaving the door of her thoughts opened to let a million of questions intrude her mind. Was he alright? What kind of punishment Alastair Drake was talking about? Why did Sebastian come to Ominis? Was it related to Axel in any way?

Maya was worried for him, her heart ached to know if he was alright. Without further wait, the girl went out of her bath, wrapping a towel around her body. Her feet left a trail of humid footsteps on the cold marbled floor.

In the guest room, the redhead dried her fiery hair as her skin before brushing her hair and dressing herself with a silk nightgown. The emerald fabric was enhancing the beauty of the young woman, revealing her shoulders. Her feet slipped into some beautiful and comfortable slippers that were in the room for the guests to use.

Before heading out of her room, Maya took her wand, just in case. Who knows who she might encounter in this giant manor. The girl wandered into the corridors, obviously lost, not knowing where to head to find the boy who was haunting her mind so often. Her emerald eyes wandered a bit everywhere, trying to find any hints that could lead her to him since she couldn't ask for help to anyone, not even the house elves.

Another corner, another corridor where a lot of doors where aligned. In front one of them, the green of her pupil recognized the body shape of the honey blond boy, getting to a door who was visibly not in great shape according to his facial expression. The grimace on his face was showing pain as the way he walked seemed quite unnatural for someone who would be in good conditions.

Tears in her eyes to see him like this, her heart beated as fast as her legs, finding herself running to him only to take him into her embrace. Her arms around his body held him tightly while warm pearls of salted water were flowing down on the freckles of her face. Axel, who didn't expect her to be around and even less to be taken into her arms, was surprised but ended up wrapping his arms around her. He rocked the girl gently with the hope that she wouldn't worry too much even though the boy could hear her sobbing.

"Axel... What happened? You look so... You look like you got hurt..." she said with a worried tone.

"Hush baby, all is fine, I'm just a tad tired, don't you worry." he answered, trying to comfort her. The last thing he would want right now would be her to worry.

"Please, Axel... We both know it's not tiredness." the redhead retorted as she moved a bit backward to be able to look at him into his cerulean eyes.

"Maya..."

"Please talk to me... Don't you trust me?"

"I received the punishment I deserved for today's behaviour..." he replied.

"What was it?" Maya asked worried.

"Why does it matter? It's in the past now."

"If it was me instead of you, you'd like to know, right? Would you appreciate that I don't tell you about it?"

"I could still read your mind." Axel chuckled.

"Axel..." she said with a hint of disappointment into her voice.
