Chapter 161:End of the Date

"It's... Morning...?"

"Oh. You're awake, Ren?"

Feeling the warmth of the sun on my cheeks, I slowly opened my eyes to see Sig-san lying beside me. He propped up on one elbow, with his upper body slightly raised as he stared at me. The sunlight was shining through the gap between his elbow and his head.

"Good.... Morning?"

"Yeah, it's morning already. Your body feeling okay?"

"Umm..."

We exchanged greetings and then Sig-san placed a chaste kiss on my forehead. As he pulled away, I could see he was smiling at me, seemingly satisfied, like a beast feeling satisfied after having a delicious meal.

What happened yesterday...? Umm... Yesterday.... We had a meal together, took a carriage ride to the aquarium then we had dinner at an inn and... Took a bath together... Uwah... How did the night end yesterday?

"That... What happened at the end?"

"Nearing the end, you fell unconscious and you stayed asleep while I was cleaning you up and even after I dressed you. Do you remember any of it?"

"Sort of, I guess...?"

Now that Sig-san mentions it... I guess I sort of remember...?

Since we usually did that kind of thing with all four of us present, I thought doing it with Sig-san only wouldn't be that difficult but it turned out, I was gravely mistaken. In a one on one situation, there was no one else to stop the incoming advances so I was the only one who had to bear everything.

I wonder why the fewer people there are, the longer it takes to finish....?

"When you were half-asleep, you cast some healing magic on yourself but are you alright now? Can you get up? How about if we go grab a meal after taking a bath?"

Prompted by Sig, I slowly sat up on the bed and stretched my legs out. He quickly placed a few pillows behind my back, allowing me to lean back comfortably.

"....I'm fine."

I didn't feel any pain or any particular discomfort though. It made me want to give a round of applause for my past self from yesterday for using [Heal] even though I was still half-asleep.

"E-Eh?! Why am I only wearing a top?!"

"Hm? Because wearing everything was too much trouble."

After sitting up and rustling around, I realized I was only wearing the top of the pajamas! Moreover, the pajama top was incredibly loose. It was hanging off my shoulder. I was wearing simple black pajamas with buttons on the front. This must be Sig-san. I had seen him wearing it a few times before.

Looking at Sig-san, I noticed that he was only wearing pajama pants. It felt somewhat embarrassing to be sharing one set of pajamas like this. Panicked, I asked Sig-san about it, but Sig-san answered me nonchalantly. He looked very calm and unbothered.

"Haaah.... What time is it now?"

Well, to be fair, he did help me put on some clothes at least so the least I can do is put the blame on him...

When I took a quick glance at the windows, the sunlight filtering from the crevice of the curtains looked quite strong. So maybe it was almost noon?

"It's almost 10:00, you know?"

"Huh?! Already?! Then Sig-san, did you wake up early?"

10?! Uwaah... I must've slept longer than I thought. I'm honestly surprised.
