"Thank you for waiting! This is Gaston-kun. He's quite heavy so please be careful. Every group has a 10 minute time limit so feel free to pet him to your heart's content during the allotted time."

After waiting in line for about 15 minutes we finally got to get inside and the two of us were made to sit side by side. Inside the enclosure, there were many partitions so we couldn't see what kind of animal was being kept inside there. We excitedly waited for our turn until a staff member returned, carrying a fluffy white bundle.

"..........What is this? It's so adorable!"

"You're not scared of me at all, huh? You've got some guts, buddy."

The staff member smiled pleasantly as the fluffy white creature was handed over to Sig-san. In Sig-san's arm, there was a mini polar bear. It was about 50-60 cm in size with short limbs that were squirming restlessly.

His eyes were so blue like the bright blue sky and he was gazing at the two of us with a puzzled expression. He looked so incredibly cute. Being a wolf beastman, Sig-san was often avoided by animals but Gaston-kun didn't show any fear at all. Gaston-kun even allowed Sig-san to hold him in Sig-san's arms. Seeing this, Sig-san was both surprised and delighted.

"This boy is a Bean Bear. They mainly inhabit the coastline, primarily living on land hunting in the sea for food. However, they have a gentle temperament, which allows for mutual contact like this. Bean Bear comes in various colors but Gaston-kun, he's quite a rare one because his fur is all white. He's been living here since birth so he's very friendly."

"Hoo... Ren, do you want to hold him too?"

"Eh? Can I?"

The staff were kneeling beside us, explaining trivia about Gaston-kun while I just continued to gaze at Gaston-kun intently. Maybe because I had been staring at Gaston-kun with so much zeal, Sig-san gently lifted Gaston-kun up by the arms and placed him on my lap.

"Here."

I thought Gaston-kun would be light because of how fluffy he looked but he was surprisingly heavy. I put both of my arms on him, securely holding him so I wouldn't accidentally drop him.

I buried my face in Gaston-kun's soft fur, feeling healed by the warmth of his body. On the other side, Sig-san was looking at me with a tender gaze.

"Whoa... So fluffy... How old is Gaston-kun?"

I'm sure Gaston-kun is still a child. I wonder until what age we can hold him for?

So I asked the staff about his age.

"Gaston-kun is 12 years old. Despite his small size, Gaston-kun is already an adult. We have a few of Gaston-kun's children here."

The staff member shared the shocking truth with a smile.

"What?!"

Despite his size, Gaston-kun is already an adult? Even though he has such short limbs and looks like a bear cub but he actually already have several cubs?

I couldn't help but to stare at Gaston-kun with amazement.

"You... You're already a father at that size?!"

Sig-san was also surprised. His eyes widened in shock and said that to Gaston-kun. Gaston-kun, who couldn't understand our words, didn't look fazed. Instead, Gaston-kun nuzzled his face against the underneath of my armpit and made a bunch of sniffing sounds.
