Chapter 162:Our New Home is Finished

"Is this... Our home?"

"Yeah. It's pretty good, isn't it?"

Today marked 10 days since I celebrated Sig-san's birthday. Yesterday, we received a message from the carpenter that our new house was completed so I came here with my fiancés to take a look at it. The old man who was smiling confidently at us worked as both the carpenter and architect for our house. We had entrusted him with the process of constructing our new house.

We had been checking on the progress of the construction from time to time, just to see how it was going but during the construction process, the site was covered with sheets so I couldn't really imagine how it would turn out later. Now that the covers were all gone, I finally realized that the house was a bit bigger than I expected.

The house was three stories tall and the ceiling height was adjusted according to Sig-san's height so the ceiling was taller than the average house.

"Even the gate looks exactly like what we asked for..."

"Yeah, it really gives off a calming feeling, huh?~ I guess if we go through that path here, we can immediately reach the garden?~"

The exterior of the house was mainly made from dark brown bricks, to ensure the design looked suitable for a household with nothing but men in it. The design of the gate was purposely made to look simple and upon opening the gate, I could see a path leading to the entrance of the house. And on the left side of the house, there was another path that led to the garden.

"Then, shall we take a look inside?"

"Yes."

We opened the double wooden doors and entered the house. The wooden door was also fashionably designed with a wood-grain pattern. Since the house was still new, the house was still filled with that specific scent of a new house smell. To finally step a foot into our new house, it finally hit me that we finally had our own house.... I felt so deeply moved.

Feeling like an explorer about to embark on a new adventurer, I started taking a look at the inside of the house.

"Thank you for making a wonderful house for us."

"Yes, It looks exactly like what we wished for."

"Hey now, we're just doing our job. It's been a while since we had the chance to build something like this so we were quite excited."

After looking around the inside of the house and making sure everything was to our satisfaction, we then went to the carpenter's office. We were led to a reception room and sat on the sofa. The boss of the carpenter entered the room not long after we sat down and I immediately thanked him for his work. Our new house was still brand new, it didn't even have any furniture, not even a sofa so we had to come to the carpenter's office to comfortably sign the final documents for the handover.

Just like what the carpenter said, the house was built on a surprisingly large plot of land, given that it was located in the middle of the city. The house was much larger than the other house surrounding it.

"The entrance area has a high ceiling. It's really nice, because we get to have a bright natural light that gives off an overall positive impression the moment we step into the house."

"Yes. It was very bright and wonderful. We love it so much."

Just like what Sig-san said, the first thing you noticed upon entering the house was the bright light coming from the atrium, since we purposely left the entrance area bare all the way to the third floor. The carpenter suggested this design to us since a high ceiling could also improve the air circulation inside the house. Good thing we went along with the carpenter's suggestion.
