I looked for one special pair of eyes, I was now drunk enough and brave enough to face the angelic ocean eyes.
I scanned the room, looking desperately for her. I needed to see her, to see what she looked like, what she's wearing, how is he acting like with her.
My eyes finally traveled to the left corner of the room, where she stood, in all her glory, looking right back at me. I noticed Zach had been talking to her but she didn't pay him any attention, her eyes solely fixed on me. Her expression was unreadable at first, then I saw a smile forming on her face, her signature shy smile.
Her expression was softer than I had expected, it carried a tint of fondness in it, as if she wasn't mad at me the way that I thought she was.
I felt my lips twist into a shy smile of my own, I had no control of my organs whenever the angel was around. My features softened immediately after I noticed her delicate smile, once again she was commanding my body parts and they obeyed, my brain excluded from the process.
"You good Aly?" Wyatt asked as he looked at me, I turned to look at him, breaking eye contact with my favorite pair of eyes in the whole world.
"Yeah I'm fine" I said truthfully.
"Let's go meet everyone, we have all these bottles we need to finish" he joked and I followed him, we walked to our group of friends, Emily included.
We stole shy swift glances at each other, I felt her eyes on me whenever mine were not on her.
Not staring at her was a very difficult task, she was wearing the most beautiful white dress that made her look even more angelic than usual, the style resembled Heather's dress, the only difference was the color. Her makeup was elegant and subtle, contributing to her angelic appearance, I had zero complaints.I noticed she only had one drink which wasn't typical of her. Over the past few months I learned that Emi was quite the alcoholic, whenever there was wine she always had a few glasses.
"H did Zach come on his own?" I whispered in Heather's ear, the only guess I had was that Emily was driving but that didn't make any sense as she was Zach's date.
"Yeah, Emily came in her own car, why?" Her expression curious, I shrugged "No reason".
After a couple drinks we all decided to hit the dance floor, I was mostly dancing with Heather and Wyatt, a catchy pop song was playing and we were all having a blast.
Well, almost all of us. I noticed Emily was acting strange, as if she was blackout drunk. It didn't make sense, I knew she only had one drink, she was driving and she was a responsible person, not the type to drink and drive.
My eyes instantly traveled to Zach, his lips twisted into a smug smile and his eyes were fixed on my girl's boobs, his hands hanging way too low on her body, cupping her ass.
There was no way Emily had drank this much, and there was no way she was letting him touch her like this while she was sober. Not to mention the sly hungry look on his face that framed him.
I think he spiked her drink.
I tugged on Wyatt's arm signaling him to get closer then I leaned to speak in his ear "I think Zach spiked Em's drink".
He looked at me, a puzzled expression on his face "Are you sure? He's a decent guy" he insisted and I shook my head, then looked over her again, I was positive. Why were guys so defensive about their asshole friends.
"Wy I know her, she doesn't look like this after she had only one drink" I knew I was right.
My blood started to boil, my fists clenched, that son of a bitch.
