"Can you turn that thing off pleaseee" I mumbled and inner groaned at the sound of the alarm clock, I heard her chuckle and soon after I felt her soft, warm palm on my cheek.
"We need to wake up Lex" she said softly, her lips grazing my skin.
I remembered I was, in fact, in heaven.
"Five more minutes" I half asked half stated and scooted closer to her, burying my face in her chest and wrapping my arm around her, she pulled me closer to and pecked my forehead, I almost squealed in excitement.
I can't believe this is real.
"I'll make us some breakfast while you get ready? Just take whatever you want from my closet" she said softly while stroking my hair and I nodded. Unfortunately, I knew it was time to get up now.
I sat up against the headboard, it took every ounce of willpower in me not to fall back into her warm embrace. She groaned before she stood up, stretching her arms over her head. I kept staring like a weirdo because I was tired, and because she was beautiful, and she leaned her knee on the mattress next to me and cupped my cheek in her palm.
"Good morning beautiful" she said as she stroked my cheek softly and I melted instantly. Everything was soft and warm and fuzzy inside my body.
"Good morning princess" I replied and saw that she was smiling just as brightly as I was.
We let go of each other as the alarm clock rang again, pulling us out of our bubble and back to reality, I wish I could stay in that bubble forever. She quickly threw on a pair of jeans and a sweater and went downstairs to make us breakfast, I dragged myself to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and did my makeup, my eyes had dark circles in all shades of purple around them which wasn't very beautiful. I knew that I didn't always have to look perfect for school, but that didn't mean I had to look like a zombie. Besides, I loved getting ready, putting the effort, and I loved it even more when I saw people's reactions to me the second I walk inside.
I opened her closet and found myself a black A-shaped mini skirt and black tights, I paired them with a cream colored distressed sweater, thank god the trench coat and boots I had on yesterday matched the look. I gathered all my things and threw them in my purse, then went downstairs.
"That's it I'm ready" I announced and she laughed as she flipped the omelette over.
"Can you make the coffee please?" She asked softly and I moved in the direction of the machine, then started making our coffee.
I already knew how she liked hers, with milk just enough to change the color of the coffee to a lighter shade of brown and one teaspoon of sugar.
I put our coffee mugs on the table and she brought plates filled with cheese omelettes, it was my favorite and I have a feeling she did that on purpose.
"Thanks Em" I smiled softly at her and gave me a shy smile in return.
We ate our food, rather quickly as we were running late, and got inside my car.
I revved the engine and we hit the road, we had exactly twenty minutes which was supposed to be enough.
Without much thought I let my hand rest on her thigh as I drove, she leaned in my direction, her hand leaning against the console supporting her body and her head was resting against my seat.
"Am I still not allowed to defend you from the idiots?" I asked, noticing my grip getting stronger, the thought of anyone making Emily uncomfortable was infuriating and made me feel like I am a Mafia Don and not a normal girl in high school. I would willingly kill anyone who ever dared to do her dirty, she just needs to let me.
