it's weird. the past week has gone fast and i could finally get up on my legs without people worrying. of course they still did but i couldn't stand being treated like a child i'm 19 now.

my mum and jayden went back home yesterday for god knows what reason but i know hayden's busy with work so it doesn't bother me that much i was just glad he was here. Laurel left to go to a book signing abroad so it's the the kids now.

"it's so quite without the mums" steven said swimming over to me.

"yeah but in somewhat i find it peaceful" i say with a laugh

"i haven't hung out with you much this summer have i" he said sighing

"not really" i say turning to look at him "but i understand you have a girlfriend now, your growing up" i say with a half smile

"but your my best friend. i should be spending some time with you"

"people do grow apart. but i wouldn't let you even if you tried to leave" i said with a little laugh

"of course you wouldn't" he said shaking his head letting out a chuckle

he leant on the side of the pool and rested his head in his hands and turnt his head slightly so he was looking at me.

"have you thought about you and conrad"

"huh. what do you mean" i say confused

"i mean, what will happen when you go back home. things are going to be different" he said putting a half smile on

i never actually thought about what would happen once i go back home. the thought never occurred to me of what might happen now.

"i never thought of that" i mumble resting my own head in my hands

"i know conrad's planning on moving here so it-"

"conrad's moving here" i perk up. why wouldn't he tell me

"shit. i didn't mean to say that" he slapped his hand over his mouth

"why didn't he tell me steven" i say turning my full body to him

"he didn't want you to worry about him being here alone" he moved his hand on my shoulders

"and you shouldn't conrad's going to be fine" he smiled

in some way it still wasn't close enough to home. i mean i lived in england for christ sake

"steven do you mind if i catch up with you later" i say pulling myself out the pool

"not at all" he smiled

i grabbed my towel and made my way through the house passing belly and jere on the way to conrad's room

i made my way up the stairs and pushed open his door to see him putting his top on

"why on earth would you not tell me your moving here" i said crossing my arms

"eve" he said turning to face me

"no. i'm your girlfriend. why wouldn't you tell me" i said as my voice cracked

"because you worry a lot. i didn't want you to worry about me" he said wrapping his arms around me

"i'm always going to worry about you" i mumble into his chest.

i heard him sigh and he pulls me onto the bed and lays me down on him.

he sat stoking my hair and occasionally placing kisses on my head.

"conrad" i said looking up to him

"yeah"

"what happens when i go back home. i mean things will be so different between us" i say

"we'll figure it out as the time gets closer to you actually going home" he said placing some of my hair behind my ear

"we'll be fine. i promise" he said before kissing me slowly.
