birthday girl 2.

it's about 12ish and we're all sitting in the garden, including the moms. i had my blue bikini on sun bathing, reading my favourite book my dad got me for my birthday last year.

"EVE COME SWIM WITH US" steven says shouting. i laugh and shake my head

"in a bit steve" i say looking back at my book

i proceeded to read until i saw a shadow peer over my head blocking the sun.

"hey stranger" a deep voice says from above me. i look up to find my older brother staring at me

"hey you" i say sitting up.

he takes a seat on the chair next to mine.

"how you feeling" he says holding my hand

i take a deep breath
"to be quite honest jay, i'm stuggiling, i don't know what i'm doing and i can't cope with it all. dad should be here. he never missed my birthday but now he's going to miss every single one of them. how is any of that fair. but i can't tell anyone because then they'll worry and go all protective and i don't want them too" i say shedding a tear

jayden pulls me into a hug and i rest my head on his shoulder.
"your doing so well ev, i'm more than proud of you and i know dad would be too. and it breaks my heart seeing you like this, especially on your birthday" he says kissing my forehead

"how do you cope with all this so easily, how do you get through everyday not wanting to break down into tears" i say sobbing harder but quietly so no one can hear me

"because i know he wouldn't want that, i know he would want me to push through it and make sure you and mom are okay. he knew i was strong enough to be here for you and i finally realised i am. you and mom and the only thing i have left so i don't care about me." he says shedding a tear

"i just don't know how to get through everyday without him anymore, life seem so quite without him" i say leaning away from the hug looking at him

"i know ev, but your so strong, you can get through anything." he says smiling wiping my eyes.

"i love yoy jay" i say smiling

"i love you too button" he says laying back on his chair

Belly's pov
"what's going on over there" i say looking at jayden and evie

"what do you mean" jere says turning around looking at the two seeing eve crying

"do you think it has anything to do with earlier" steven adds

"i odnt know, but it seems to bother her so much, and have any of you heard from jack jacobs, no one's spoke of him in a while" i say

"funny enough no" jere says

"guys just leave it" ivy says

"i'm going to find out" i say turning away from the two.

Evies pov

eventually after about half and hour i got into the pool with belly jere ivy and steven playing around like little kids.

"hey that's not fair" i say screaming.

"don't be slow then" steven says laughing throwing his arms around my shoulder dragging me under the water

i grab his legs and drag him in with me. i swim up laughing

"who's slow now" i say laughing

"shut up" he says splashing me laughing

"hey ev" belly says swimming over with jere and ivy
