I saw my entire life flash before my eyes as I tried to grasp the concept of the reality I was currently living.

"No."

I said instantly to her with tears in my eyes.

"You're lying to me."

Her face quickly softened as she had her hand on me holding me steady as I wasn't in the right state of mind.

"Lu.."

She started it off, reminding me of the friendship we had once had

"I wouldn't lie to you about this.."

I first shook my head in denial as I refused to believe her, but the more I studied her face and in her eyes, I knew deep down she was telling the truth.

I clenched onto her as I bursted into tears as I grew weak in my knees as I desperately wanted to cry out and scream my lungs out until I couldn't anymore.

Coin said and did nothing more as she stood there by my side as long as I needed her to be there for me.

Which gave me some sort of comfort in return, as I didn't want to be alone at that moment of time.

I knew in my heart that because of her, Miles was dead.

Yet, I couldn't hate her or blame her entirely when he was his own person, and he wanted to fight for what he believed was right despite it meaning that it cost him his very own life.

I slowly, but surely picked myself up as she said the following to me

"I would like you to join the other victors in deciding on the future of Panem."

"Since you're a victor and someone of importance, after all."

She stated as she went back to her usual self

I nodded my head as the following day approached us as I was sitting amongst the other tributes waiting to get started. Katniss then walks in as she was unaware of what was happening around her.

"What's this?"

She immediately asked Coin, as she had cut her hair for the role as future madam president of the entire Panem.

"The remaining victors, won't you join us?"

Katniss said nothing as she told a seat alongside both Peeta and Haymitch as President Coin began

"I've invited you all here for several reasons, but first I have an announcement to make."

"I'm taking the burden and the honor, of declaring myself intro president Panem?"

"Intro?"

Haymitch laughed abruptly

"Exactly, how long is that intro?"

"We have no way of knowing for certain, but it clears the people are far too emotional right now to make a rational decision."
