[How are you still alive?]

"Umm-"

[Sob, so I'm stuck with a dying body. I'm, hic, I'm going to get overworked]

Cale was about to retort but he heard the pitter patter of feet running across stone floor.

"That was cool!"

"The shield was so shiny"

The two kittens ran up to Cale who was still standing where the rock tower was.

"Where did you get that?" The black dragon floated behind the siblings.

"I found it in a tree"

The kitten's eyes widened as a realisation hit them, while the dragon looked confused.

"We should go now"

"Okay!"

Cale once again made the treacherous journey to return to the outside world. He crawled out of the hole and sprawled out on the grassy ground lightly panting. I hope I never have to do that again.

The kittens plonked themselves down nearby to join him. While those three laid on the grass, the dragon stared before eventually doing the same.

It's so peaceful. Cale gazed at the sunlight filtering through the leaves, breathing in the clean air. Since when have I felt this relaxed? He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of birds and insects chirping.

Cale started to drift off but was disturbed by a growling sound.

He looked over to the source of the sound and saw the little black dragon quickly avoiding eye contact.

"We'll go get some lunch"

"Yay!"

[Yay!]

[Shut up]

Cale once again ignored the voices in his head yelling at each other.

"Do you have anything you would like?"

"Umm, can I try something called pudding?" Hong asked.

"Yeah"

Cale and the three children went and ate some lunch, but it was an exaggeration to call what snacks they ate lunch.

The next day Cale told Hans he was going drinking and he might not be back in a few hours.

"In half an hour or so, I will come back and pick you up" he said to the kittens and dragon. I need to actually go drinking this time. They shouldn't see that.

"Why can't we just sneak out?" On asked.

"I need to keep my reputation"

"What does that have to do with us?"

Cale sighed. "Just stay here until I come and get you"

On nodded after seeing that she wouldn't get any answers out of him.

"Good" he ruffled her head with Hongs.

Cale left and began withdrawing lots of money for 'alcohol'. After getting a handful of gold coins, he left and found the nearest pub. Half an hour. I just have to stay for half an hour. Cale glanced at the clock hanging off a wall.

He began drinking like there was no tomorrow. His face instantly flushed after the first sip of alcohol.

"Ahh, shit. The Henituse alcohol is much better than this crap. Serve out something better" Cale ordered the bar tender.

"Y-yes!" The man scurries away. Looks like my reputation is quite well known. Cale felt proud his hard effort paid off.

He drank and drank but tried not to spend as much money as usual.

Around twenty minutes later, Cale decided to head off. With a bottle in one hand, he staggered out trying to find somewhere quiet.

As he eventually stumbled into an empty alleyway, his eyes sharped. He glanced around and made sure no one was watching as he pulled a cloak from his pouch.

Pulling the hood over his hair and dropping the bottle, he searched for a fountain to wash his face.

He returned to the inn through the window and was greeted with On, Hong and the dragon waiting for him.

"Mister is back!" The red kitten's ears perked up.

"Let's go" Cale picked up the kittens and jumped out the window once again. He glanced at the dragon who understood and made his hair black.

He walked into the clothes shop he visited two days ago.

"Welcome back!" The same man who tried to drive them out greeted them. "We have all your orders prepared, please follow me"

Cale nodded and walked behind him. He was lead to a room with wooden crates piled up in the centre.

"If you would like us to deliver them to a certain address, you just have to tell us. Since you gave us too much money before, we will take the fee from there"

Cale thought for a moment. Wow. I really bought a lot. He glanced at where the invisible dragon floated.

-Since I am a generous dragon, I will help you

The crates faded and disappeared.

"What?"

"I will be going now" Cale left the room.

"Huh" the man stood in a now empty room, alone and confused.

When Cale returned to the inn, he snuck the children in and returned to drink a little more. He returned an hour later.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow. I don't even know what year it is. 2024? My brain is still in 2021

Spent a good half an hour looking through my Cale photos and DAYMN, he's so fine. And I believe that everyone deserves to see Cale in all his greatness

Since I need to think more about what to write next, I will probably be including small fluffy moments for some chapters to make the chapters longer.

So, turns out I'm sick. That makes sense. No wonder I felt like shit. So it's a short, late chapter

Isn't that's a great way to welcome the new year 😆

Probably won't update next Sunday tho 👀

I also have no idea about fashion and stuff like that. So don't expect much detailed clothes.

Just imagine their outfits like this:
