Cale and the three children finally finished dismantling the bombs.

"We have ten bombs now!" The little dragon proudly announced.

As well as the eight placed bombs and the bag Cale stole, they found another bomb disguised as a necklace. Cale stole that too.

That should be all the bombs but I feel like something isn't right. Knowing that lunatic, he probably has other things planned.

When they borrowed the bombs, they replaced them with lookalikes that Cale made with the help of the dragon and some materials he... found.

Those bombs spread all around the continent after this incident and it took Alberu so long to clean up. Even then there were still some floating around. Rosalyn got her hands on them and experimented with them, making them more efficient and effective. Cale internally sighed. She dragged me with her to help her. I was practically her assistant. And thanks to her, if I have the right materials, I can make a simple one. Not as good as hers but still a dangerous explosive nonetheless.

Cale glance at the spatial pouch that contains the bombs. The bombs only activate when told by a specific mage. The mage inputs their mana into a mana stone which then gives off an explosion, breaking the stone resulting in it blowing up. Depending on the quality of stone, it could blow up a few metres or a small mountain. Most of their bombs used medium grade mana stones and four used low grade mana stones. We took out their mana stone, put it in the new bombs and placed them there like noting happened. They wouldn't be able to tell the difference since it still has their mana stone. The new bombs look like the regular ones but don't explode and instead, just release an annoying beeping sound.

Cale laid on the roof of a random building and glanced at the clock tower. 10 more minutes. He rolled over and stared at the two children and where the invisible dragon should be.

"Ten more minutes" Cale said.

The siblings let out a noise of agreement.

Cale stayed on the roof for a few more minutes before finally standing up.

"We should get a bit closer"

They jumped from roof top to roof top, avoiding the patrolling knights below. When they arrived at the nearest building to the plaza, they stopped and surveyed the area.

"So many people" Hong muttered.

"Are they nobles?" On asked.

"Yeah. Do you see the table at the northeast?"

The siblings nodded their heads.

"There is 15 year old with brown hair there. That's my brother"

They looked at Cale with wide eyes.

"Dragon, could you please protect him?"

"...Okay" the dragon responded.

"Thank you"

Cale motioned to the clock tower. "The moment that strikes nine, there will be a person in black appear at the top of the tower"

"Like us?"

"Yeah, but more shifty"

"..."

Cale felt the burning stares of the two children and invisible dragon and turned away. His red-brown eyes sweeper across the plaza of cheering nobles.

"Why are there so many people here?" The dragon asked.

"It's the king's 50th birthday. See that blonde guy raising his hand up? That's him" the moment Cale said that, the crowd fell silent.
