Cale stared at the man that was speaking a strange language.

That... sounds like Korean.

He looked the man up and down.

Definitely similar to Choi Han. Just older and more beat up. He eyed the scars that were visible on his arms. The man was covered in dirt and leaves, making him look like he buried himself in the ground.

I wonder why he is here?

[Umm... Cale?] The unnamed ancient power spoke up.

'What?'

[...You know in the carriage where you were in pain?]

'Yes, what of it?'

[Err, well, when you in pain, something happened to our powers...]

'Like what?'

[...half of our powers disappeared]

'WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT SOONER?!'

Cale internally sighed.

'What do you mean disappeared?'

[It's not really clear, but we no longer have access to 50% of our powers. I don't know if it's sealed or taken away, but either way, it's gone]

Cale sighed once again.

'Why did you bring this up right now?

Cale looked at the man who was strangely calm with a frown on his face.

Arghhh, I should've bothered Choi Han more to teach me Korean.

The man who was standing a few meters away observed Cale.

"So, what now" Cale said knowing full well that the person in front of him won't understand.

The man stared at him some more as his frown deepened.

Do I take him with me? I need to know if he has a relation to my ancient powers disappearing.

Will he hurt us?

He looks smart, he should realise that this isn't a place he knows. So he won't have a stable foot in this place. He needs someone from here to help him and there's someone in front of him.

But won't there be a communication barrier?

That'll be difficult.

I could find Choi Han and ask him to translate, but he might take him away and I still need to know what happened to the ancient powers.

"You," Cale pointed at the man, "follow me" he laid his hand on his chest.

Cale saw that the man was still cautious and sighed.

I don't know anymore.

He turned to walked to the village and glanced over his shoulder.

The man took a hesitant step forward and soon followed behind.
