"So it's true then." Max said as soon as I stepped into his office the next morning. "Congrats."

"Thank you." I peer down to get a glimsp of the ring. Obsidian, he said. That's what the stone is. Pure Dauntless of us.

"So when is the wedding?" Max asks.

"Don't we have other things to do, Max?"

"Yes. Yes we do. The needles are all down in the fear landscape room. And I have one of the leaders watching them to make sure that we don't mix them up with the other ones that we use on the initiates."

"Max there are many boxes of the serums for tomorrow. Don't worry about mixing them all up."

"Alright then. I assume Jeanine made sure you were all up to date yesterday with our plan."

"Yes she did."

"Good." He rises from the chair that he sits in, and we make our way down to the fear landscape room, where Jeanine is waiting.

"What is she doing here? Making sure that we have everything or what?"

"Yeah. We just need a minute with her." Max says.

"Hello Max, Delilah, Eric." I whip around to find Eric beside of me, his eyes trained on Jeanine.

"Hello Jeanine. I assume that you are here to make sure that we have everything in order for later today?"

"Yes and we do. I will be going on my way now. Remember to contact me later Max." She says. Her stride is almost robotic, poised and perfect.

"Well we are all ready then for later." Max says. The other two leaders come up behind us, waiting for Max's instructions.

"You are all excused. Meet us back here a half an hour before the ceremony starts so that we can get all prepared. Go."

"Yes sir," we all say and spread out our seperate ways. Eric grabs my hand and gently leads me down to the cafeteria, where we get food and try to get through the many people who are already inebriated. We find a spot that is mostly empty and start to eat.

"How do you like that ring?" Eric aks.

"I love it. It's so beautiful and it fits me perfectly."

"Good. They didn't have too many choices but the ones that they did were not extrodinary like you."

"Aww Eric thank you." He kisses me cheek and resumes back to eating. I get lost in the ring and forget about my food until Eric reminds me to eat.

I sigh, picking up the fork and going to my peas. Peas, chicken, and bread. What boring pieces of food. Must be Abnegation food.

I scan the room, and I don't see any of the initiates in between the seas of people. They mustve gone back to the the dormitory.

"I'm all done. Want me to take that for you?" Eric asks. He holds out his hand to take it, but in a split second I raise my hand up and give him sometype of a high five.

"That's not what I asked fo. But I'll take it anyways." He says, grabbing my hand and giving it a kiss.

"Yes I'm done with my food. I'm too excited for this afternoon so that's why I didn't eat much. Sorry."

"Oh dont be. I'm excited too." He says.

He returns a minute later but he doesn't sit down. Instead he scans the room, looking for someone.

"What are you doing?" I ask. He's been a little off this morning. Maybe it's just because of the engangment.

"Are you sure we are doing the right thing?" He asks softly.

"Why do you ask that question. Of course we are. Jeanine hates them. We are doing them a favor. The world will be better off without them."

"Alright then. I just had a minute of doubt there."

"It's okay. But trust me, we are doing the right thing." I say, as I look around at the masses of people who will be killing all of those innocent Abnegation.

Is it the right thing to do? I put the wires on the side of my head and the simualtion starts. Marlene shows her errie scene, claustrophobia. Her heart rate goes up for a second and then decreases. It reaches the normal heart rate, the walls break apart and it is all over. She rises up from her crouching posistion, and we detach the wires and shake off the simulation daze. Her time is 13 minutes.

I can hear Four telling the transfers about what's going to happen. Drew will go first, and Tris will go last. Eric sticks Drew with the needle, and we go through the same thing again. Drew's time is dangerously high, 55 minutes.

Molly's time is half of Drews, 30 minutes but she also has trouble with her heart rate. One point she screams at the top of her lungs, startling us leaders.

Chrsitina doesn't have too much trouble. Most of her fears are the same when she went through stage two. It takes her 15 minutes to get through, even with the swarm of moths that covered her body.

Wills is pretty easy but his takes 12 minutes. Just normal fears, nothing out of the ordinary.

Peter's fears shows up quite differently, one even including from when he stabbed Edward in the eye. I must imagine that he has nightmares about what he had done. I wonder is Edward is even alive anymore.

Tris is last. She only has seven fears. Losing the fear of being in control. She picks up a gun and shoots the black birds that come for her body. Drowning. Being burned alive. Another fear about being in control comes to view. She is lost out at sea, trying to hold on to the big jagged rock near her. Men trying to come get her in her room from Abnegation. Four trying to have sexual intentions with her. Shooting her family, but instead of that she chooses to shoot herself instead.

What crazy things that people go through.

The lights come on, and the last person to go through their simulations is finally done.

We all stand around, waiting for Four to take Tris out of the room. Everyone heads to the main floor of the pit, while Eric and us other leaders stand up on the stairs that takes us to the upper floors.

"Alright listen up! Before you leave tonight I want you all in four lines. Everyone gets a tracking device. Don't ask questions, just a precaution." Eric states.

The people below are scurried into the four lines while some other dauntless are putting the injections in them.

"Have you seen Four?" A nearby voice asks.

"No."

"omg."  It's tris. She cuts out of line and Eric cuts in front of her.

"Congratulations. You should be first in line. I'll make it easy for you." A member comes up behind her and shoots an injection into her.

"Hurts like a bitch huh?" He smirks. "Now you're really one of us."   We walk off, and we already know that we are doing the right thing.

It's already because we can't undo it.
