I stare at the sight before me. What the hell is Eric doing here? Can't he take care of himself.

"Help. Please." He says. "Please don't kill me... I had nowhere else to go."

"Alright can you get up?" He reaches for my hand and I halfway haul him up on his good leg. His other leg is coated in blood.

"What the hell happened to you?" I repeat my self as I sit him down on the couch.

"A bunch of them ganged up on me and almost left me dead. I can't go back there Delilah... I just can't."

I roll up his pants and inspect the wound. It's from a gun but they didn't go to the bone. It just skimmed the top part of the skin thankfully.

"It didn't go through," I say. "Not a problem to take care of."

"I didn't know if you would be here or not but it was a chance worth taking," Eric pants as I get my needle and thread and all of the other things I need to stich him up.

"Alright this might hurt," I say. I slowly pour the antiseptic over the wound and clean up all of dried blood surrounding it. Eric doesnt scream so that must mean he's used to the pain.

When all of the wound is flushed out I grab my needle and thread and start stitching. Eric is still quiet and even when I finish he doesn't even say anything.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" I ask. I do deserve a thank you from him.

"Yes. Thank you." He mumbles. It is quiet between us. I can't let him stay here... But I can't let him go back.

"So are you going to kill me? Put me out of my misery?"

I bite my lip as the desicion in my mind is final. "No. As someone who has even done the worst things doesn't deserve to die."

"I'll let you stay the night here and in the morning I will go to Four and tell him that you are coming with us to take down Erudite."

"Take down Erudite? How the hell are you going to manage that with half of the faction on the other team?" Eric snorts. "You won't be able to do it."

"We will. With the faction less. We have them on our side. They want to take down Jeanine just as much as we do."

Eric thinks about this for a second. "Fine. I'll come with you. Just don't let anyone kill me."

"Thank you. Now get some sleep." I throw him a blanket and get him settled.

"I'm gonna be in my bedroom if you need anything," I say before I shut off the lights. He nods and closes his eyes.

Heading to my bedroom I clean up the mess from earlier and get in my bed. I can shut my eyes but I unfortunately can't shut out the thoughts from my head. Four is probably not going to react well to what I'm going to say tomorrow. But it is my choice and he'll just have to agree with me. Or he will kick me out of the plan. Either way it's not going to be pretty.

Keeping my eyes closed I take deep breaths, and as the clock ticks away, I fall asleep.

"Hey you made it through the night," I say the next morning as Eric is sitting on the couch.

"Yeah it wasn't too bad."

"Well it could've been worse."

"Yeah that's true." He smiles lightly through the pain. It is the first time in a while.

"So how are you going to tell him?" He adds.

I purse my lips together. "I'm just gonna tell him outright. And if you are able to you can come with me."
