Chapter 34: Just Reconnection

The Destiny Clinic event took place in Central Ladprao. The place was packed with fans and staff. Ohm and Nanon, once more, had to interact on a stage more than they were actually interacting in real life. After that schedule, Ohm had to go back to the studio and film a few scenes he still had left for one of his TV series. He didn't even have time to stay a few more minutes with Nanon after seeing him smile so much during the schedule they had together. They themselves had established that 'break period' but it was their solo works that were actually making sure they stayed away from each other. That meeting at the Café arranged by Nonnie was the first time he had met Nanon out of work in a while. Ohm never thanked Nonnie for that unexpected 'coincidence', but deep down, he felt relieved after having that 'restroom moment' with the singer. It was clear that Nanon still loved him and missed him just as well. The way the singer approached him, and whispered in his ear exuded a yearning that matched his perfectly. He couldn't help thinking about Nanon's question over and over again. 'When, and how do we know this break should be over?' Ohm didn't know what to reply to that, but he was sure that if one of them got the chance to ask that question again, that would be the moment of their reconnection.

When the GMMTV 2023 - DIVERSELY YOURS announced publicly that Pat and Pran would be back to the screen, some fans were ecstatic, and others disappointed. Most of them wanted a whole series for Bad Buddy 2, and just a few hours of OhmNanon on TV was not enough to satisfy the fandom completely. Haters didn't waste any time before throwing shade at the actors. All sorts of theories were being fed on social media. It was said that Nanon and Ohm were fighting, and that Nanon was being forced by a contract to play Pran again. Another rumour had it that Nanon didn't want to play his 'gay role' anymore, and because he was protecting his straight image, he refused to film a long sequel of the BL TV series. People were also saying that Ohm and Nanon were divorced after that video at the hospital was shared all over the internet, and since Nanon was supposedly a 'cheater', Ohm was investing in his relationship with another actor, Tanapon Sukumpantanasan, as well known as Perth.

Ohm knew he had to reach out to Nanon. Everyone knew that they were behaving differently around each other at that point. Their 'break' was being interpreted in many ways, especially toxic ways, and the actors had to watch out for that. Fame was a complicated matter, popularity required them to maintain a certain level of self-consciousness in their daily life.

"Hey, Meung, on a scale from 1 to 10, how straight are you today?" Ohm randomly sent the message to Nanon. He was the first to establish some contact through texting since they parted ways in Seoul. The older actor didn't know how to break the ice, so he just tried to be playful with his words. However, Nanon didn't text him back, he video called him immediately.

Ohm was suddenly nervous when he saw Nanon's face light up his phone. He didn't even expect the singer to text him back, but to his surprise, it seemed that Nanon wasn't just eager to write to him, he wanted more. He wanted to hear his voice and see his face. When Ohm accepted that video call, he wasn't prepared to see a shirtless Nanon sitting on a bench of a football field.

"Hey, asshole. Since I'm playing football at the moment, I'd say 10." Nanon chuckled, and winked at Ohm, whose gaze couldn't help following a drop of sweat running down Nanon's neck.

"You're at the club?" Ohm asked, without taking his eyes off Nanon's collarbone.

"Yeah. Since everyone is practically saying I am a homophobe, I thought I should live up to my reputation. Football is a pretty masculine/heterosexual kinda of sport, right? My macho toxicity is at its peak." Nanon said sarcastically with a grin.

"Hmm." Ohm didn't even laugh at the singer's joke, he was too busy beholding the younger's naked skin. He knew he and Nanon would have a Honda event that involved a football match soon, and he wondered how much strength he would have to gather to resist a sweaty, panting Nanon on the field.
