Chapter 6: My only friend

A few days passed, Zane walked around the village, a necklet was dangling from his hand, he approached Molly, who was watching over her daughter and the other two children of the village. She gasped a bit and bowed when Zane came up to her.

Molly: " Good morning, Grand High Priest."

Zane: " You don't have to be so formal, my dear. Just call me Zane."

Molly: " Oh, okay. Is there anything I can do for you Zane?"

Zane: " Well, I found this little necklet and don't have much used for it, and I thought why not give it to someone as a gift."

Molly: " Oh that's sweet. Who are you going to give it too?"

Zane: " Well, it's a bit small for anyone, so maybe I could give it to your darling child. Alexis, was it?"

Molly nodded. Zane then handed her the necklet to Molly so she could look at it.

Molly: " It's very lovely, Zane. I think Alexis will love it."

Zane nodded, he then headed back to his living quarters, when he noticed the door was opened. Zane knew that even when they were inside, his guards would close the door, someone else was in his living quarters. He slowly walked over, his hand hovered over his dagger, but when he saw who was inside, he became annoyed. Inside was Kiki, who was looking around some of his stuff. Zane then barged in, causing Kiki to jump.

Zane: " What Are You Doing Looking Through My Stuff!?"

Kiki let out a yelp and tossed an amulet in the air, Zane thought it was his for a moment, but was relieved to see it was a different relic he carries around. She was able to catch it but she clenched her teeth and gasped a bit. She looked over at Zane with a nervous look.

Kiki: " Z-Z-Z-Zane! I-I-I'm sorry! I just came here to help the others clean up a little but bring your dishes, but I saw something on the desk and curiosity got the best of me and... and..."

As Kiki went on, things started to go a bit blurry, her breathing became fast, and she was swaying around a little.

Kiki: " Everything is... sp-spinning...."

Zane: " Kiki? Are you..."

Before Zane could finished, Kiki passed out and fell into Zane's arms. He lost balance for a moment but was able to stable himself while holding Kiki in his arms.

Zane: " Kiki? Kiki! *lightly smacks Kiki's face* She's out cold. What the Hell was she fusing with?!"

Zane examined the amulet, he noticed something dripping from if, flesh blood. He turns the hand it was in and saw a cut on her hand that it gave when she grabbed it in a certain way.

Zane: " Ugh, great. Before I can figure out what this relic is, the leach stumbles a pond it and decides to get blood on it."

The guards then rushed in when they heard Zane snapped at someone.

A Guard: " Sir?! We heard you yell, what..."

Zane looked back at the four while still holding he pass out Kiki.

Another Guard: " Is... Is she okay?"

The Youngest Guard: " W-w-what happened?"

Zane: " I was going to ask you the same thing because I found her alone, looking through my stuff WITH NONE OF YOU HERE TO STOP HER!! CARE TO EXPLAIN!?!"

A Guard: " S-s-s-sorry Sir. We stepped out for a moment, and it will never happen again! And one of us will no stay behind when we have to step out for a minute!"
