A Broken Man

Chapter 28: He Arrives

Zane opened his eye and found himself back in the Nether. He jumped up and looked around, not believing he was back in that literal Hell Hole.

Zane: " What?! Ho-how did I..."

Laughter surrounded Zane, he started breathing fast, his heart was racing and was spinning around, trying to see who was around him.

Zane: " This can't be real!"

A voice: " Oh it is."

Zane whipped around and saw Concubine, she walked out of the shadows with her creepy smile.

Zane: " What are you doing here!?"

Concubine: " Oh Zane, you really thought you could run away."

Soon after Concubine got closer to Zane, Beckham followed her out of the shadows, alongside with Mewio, Meowki, Gene, Sasha, and Zenix.

Beckham: " And hide away like a coward? *chuckles*"

Gene: " You stole the Shadow Lord's Relic. And you think you're safe in the Overworld just because you block the Portal?"

Zane: " You have no way out of the Nether. Even if you clear the path of the Portal, there's a Protective Shield over it in the Overworld. How are you going to get out if you're only way out is blocked?"

Sasha: " We have other ways to get out."

Zenix: " And once we get out, you better be ready, because we're not going show any mercy towards you or anyone who's in our way."

Meowki: " You're shaking. It's funny because you used to make everyone shake by just hearing your name, but here you are. Standing in front of us, shaking like a leaf."

Mewio: " And no one wants to help you because you're Zane Ro'Meave. No one wants to help you or be there for you after what you did. You really thought you could change?"

Everyone but Zane: " You are nothing but a scared, foolish, broken, one-eyed man that no one wants to be around."

Zane backed away, but stop after bumping into someone, he slowly looked up and saw the Shadow Lord. He jumped and felled on the ground, trying to back away.

The Shadow Lord: " You sign your soul away to me when you were a child. I was practically your father, and this is how you thank me after all this time? I made you the person who you are now. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be in the position you're in."

The Shadow Lord then shifted into Zane when he was wearing his Priest outfit before waking up in the Nether the first time.

Past Zane: " A twisted monster that no one loves. You're poison, and you infect and destroyed everything around you, ever since you lost your eye. No one wanted us, they either left you behind or wanted us to be DEAD! And you can't do anything to change that. You ARE and Always will be the most feared man, just like the Shadow Lord."

The Shadow Lord and all his Goons who were with him turned into shadows and darkness circled Zane, whispering came from everywhere.

The Whispers: " You're going to die alone. No one will help you when we come out of the Nether. The Hunter finally became the Prey. Now look who's scare. You're nothing but a monster that everyone wants dead. You're just a curse."

The Shadow Lord then towered over Zane in a large shadow monster. Zane took a deep breath and stood straight, trying to push his fear away and put his serious face on like he did many times in the past.

Zane: " There's always light where there's darkness. You will all be stopped before you get your hands on the Relic again."

The Shadow Lord: " Please. This world is mine. And I don't care who or how many people I have to kill to get back my Relic and take control of this world and the other Realms. *laughs*"
