Chapter 8: The Shadow Lord

Later, the two people who turn out to be siblings approach a large door, they looked at each other for a moment.

The man: " Well, what are you waiting for? Go and tell him."

The woman: " ME?! WHY ME?!"

The man: " Well, Zane did tell you want happened. So, I think it's right for you to tell him what happened."

The woman: " *sarcastic chuckle* Please, what happened to the all great and powerful Mewio? The brave and strong Shifter of the Shadow Knight Army."

Mewio: " Uhhh... uhhh... Did I say that? I mean, as great and powerful as I am, I think the just as strong Meowki should go in and report this little problem."

Meowki: " Hmph! Well, there's one way to solve this."

The two beans who were call Shifters held out their hands, formed a fist and moved them up and down.

Mewio: " Rock."

Meowki: " Paper."

Mewio: " Scissors."

Meowki/Mewio: " ...Shoot!"

The two held their hands out, both picked the same thing.

Meowki: " Again."

Mewio/Meowki: " Rock. Paper. Sissors. Shoot!"

The two got the same thing again.

Mewio: " *growls* Again!"

The two did this again and again, saying it so fast that it started to sound like one giant word. Eventually, three people came over.

A man: " What are you two doing?"

The twins looked over and saw one of the respected members of the army, a man named Gene, alongside his two associates, Sasha and Zenix.

Meowki: " Oh, it's you."

Mewio: " Meowki has something to tell the Lord but too scared to tell him."

Meowki: " Oh yeah, if your so brave, why don't you tell him."

Sasha: " Tell him what? That you two are obnoxious and always at each other's throats?"

Meowki/Mewio: " Zane failed his mission to try and give part of the Lord a host."

Gene, Sasha and Zenix froze hearing the news of what happened.

Sasha: " Zane?"

Zenix: " Zane failed? Th-that can't be right."

Gene: " Your lying, where's your Transponder Amulet? I want to hear it from him myself."

Meowki: " We can't."

Mewio: " Zane Amulet broke during a fight he was in before contacting us."

Meowki: " It had enough energy for him to give one last message to me before it gave out."

Sasha: " Those things are hard to get, the Lord isn't going to like this. Not at all."

Gene: " You might as well go in and tell him to get it over with."

Meowki: " Right, and that work so well for you when you told him that you, Sasha and Zenix failed to kill the Lord of Phoenix Drop and his wife."

Gene lightly touched a scar on his face, given by the Shadow Lord when he told him he failed at his mission he and his crew was given.

Zenix: " He's going to find out one way or another. But you might as well get it over right now."

Mewio: " Right."
