Chapter 62: My Babies

Zane didn't know what to say. He just stared star structed at both Kawaii-Chan and the twins with his jaw drop. Even though she was a bit messy from the birth, Kawaii-Chan still looked just as beautiful as she usually was towards Zane. Aphmau, Garroth, Nekoette and Alina came in, Nekoette's face lit up seeing her mother alright and holding both her baby siblings.

Aphmau: " Oh my Irene. Kawaii-Chan, they're adorable."

Kawaii-Chan: " Heh, thank you, Aphmau-Sempai."

Garroth: " Was anyone hurt during the attack?"

Zoey: " Luckily, no."

Aphmau: " Wait, where's.."

Donna: " Lilith's in the other room with Luca right now. They're both safe."

Aphamu sighed after hearing that, Nekoette ran over to her mother's side, struggling to climb up on the bed for a moment before Donna helped her and looked at her younger siblings.

Kawaii-Chan: " *sighs* Nekoette-Tan, meet your baby sister and brother."

Nekoette had a huge smile and took a bit of a deep breath, she was able to say something, when Kawaii-Chan stopped her.

Kawaii-Chan: " Not so loud, love, they're asleep right now and you don't want to scare them."

Nekoette nodded and looked at over at her siblings. Nekoette gently held out her hand and picked up one of her siblings' hands, and gently moved it. Nekoette looked at Kawaii-Chan and back at the babies with her smile getting bigger and giggling a bit. Kawaii-Chan chuckled, Zane still stood there, Garroth gently nudged him, causing Zane to jolt and eventually walk over to the side of the bed. Kawaii-Chan smiled as Zane crouched down to look at the twins. Aside from having darker or black hair like their father, Zane also saw small freckles on their face. The boy looks almost exactly like Zane, but he had a tail, cat legs and few pink highlights in his hair.

Zoey: " Come on, let's give them some space."

Everyone nodded and gave Kawaii-Chan and Zane some space, even Nekoette left, to go look for Dmitri to tell him about the twins. Zane held out his hand, the girl slightly turned her head while cooing, causing Zane to flinch, Kawaii-Chan just chuckled.

Kawaii-Chan: " They're not going to hurt you."

Zane: " I know that but... I honestly don't know what to say... They're just so... small."

Kawaii-Chan: " Of course they're small. Do you want to hold one?"

Zane fidget with his hands a bit, hesitated to answer.

Zane: " What if I drop them?"

Kawaii-Chan: " You're not going to hurt them. Here, hold out your hands."

Zane stayed quiet for a while, but he slowly lifted his arms, Kawaii-Chan handed over the girl to him. He looked down at the small Meif'wa wrapped in a blanket and back at Kawaii-Chan a few times as he slowly took her out of her mother's arms.

Kawaii-Chan: " That's it, just keep her head up."

Zane cradled the baby in his arms, he looked down at her as she started to coo and purr a tiny bit. He couldn't stop staring at her.

Zane's thoughts: " She's so small and warm... but heavier than I expected... I can feel her heartbeat through my shirt... It's.. This is amazing..."

Zane held out his finger and the baby wrapped her small hand around it, causing Zane to smile and get a bit teary eyed.

Zane: " It... It all feels so strange to me. I took many lives in the past, but I never thought I will make it."

Kawaii-Chan: " Heh, well you did. You and me."
