On the Dark Island, the Stone Scouts are collecting Dark Matter.

"This is foolish, we have an unbeatable army to conquer Ninjago and yet we waste time playing in the mud?!" Garmadon questions angrily "Have all these years on the island made you go mad Svern? We need to focus on finding your body before the convergence!"

"What you call mud is concentrated evil. A Dark Matter that with one drop could make a man's heart turn as black as night." the Overlord explains "Have patience, Garmadon. My body is in a place we cannot reach without traveling through Ninjago first."

"Going head first into Ninjago with an army will not win the battle sensei," Aria tells him "daddy's tried that before and it resulted in a long war that he did not win."

"Precisely," the Overlord agrees "this time we will have an unspeakable weapon at our side that will guarantee our victory."

"An unspeakable weapon," Garmadon laughs at the thought "I like the sound of that. Maybe your brain hasn't rotted yet old man."

"I'm not that old!" the Overlord shouts at him

"Ha," Garmadon laughs again "you're as old as my father, and if he's dead I'm surprised you're not."

As the Overlord and Garmadon continued bickering, Lloyd and Aria looked at each other and laughed.

"Don't you think they sound like us?" Lloyd questions

"Mhm," Aria nods in agreement

"We don't argue like you!" the Overlord shouts at them and the kids laugh louder.

"You two argue like an old married couple," Garmadon says as he crosses his arms with a smirk on his face."

"We do not!" Lloyd and Aria shout with a blush on their faces.

The Overlord and Garmadon turn to each other and snicker. Aria and Lloyd noticed they were sitting really close to each other and immediately moved farther apart looking away.

"It's a shame," the Overlord says quietly "I fear their history is doomed to repeat itself in this life as well."

"Let us hope our plan succeeds so it does not," Garmadon replies "this time, we'll be there for them."

"I agree," the Overlord says

-

Garmadon and the kids sat inside the main tent of their camp. Garmadon sat on his quickly made throne as the kids sat on the floor, practicing making ancient symbols the Overlord was instructing them to draw in the sand. A Stone Swordsman then brings in a box of Dark Matter.

"They've dug to new depths and have struck Dark Matter." General Kozu tells them

"Excellent." Garmadon says amused "The most powerful Dark Matter."

"He also says they have lost many warriors down the Mouth of Eternal Shadows just to obtain this one piece." General Kozu adds

"Well tell them I said I'd throw them down myself to get it," Aria tells him "we need much more."

"Good idea, Aria why don't you go oversee the mining." the Overlord suggests

"Huh?" Aria points to herself "Really?"

"You are my daughter," the Overlord says "Who better?"

"You can count on me father!" Aria stands up with a smile "So.. can I throw them down myself then?"

"I did say good idea," the Overlord replies, amused.

"Yes!" Aria cheers

"Can I go too?" Lloyd asks

"No," the Overlord turns back to him "You will stay here and continue learning."

"What?!" Lloyd growls "Not fair."

"If you want to be strong enough to protect my daughter, you need to learn how to use your power properly." the Overlord tells him "You want to be strong don't you?!"

"I do," Lloyd nods before turning to Aria "Be careful idiot, I am not coming to get you if you fall down the hole."

"I'm not as clumsy as you," Aria replies with a smirk "there's no way I would."

With that, Aria headed to the mining pit with the stone warrior. There they continued mining the dark matter under Aria's command. Aria stood at the edge of the pit, staring into the darkness.

"Who exactly am I?" Aria questions to herself "What won't they tell us?"

A glimmer of gold suddenly reflected of the surface and Aria turned around to see a golden dragon in the sky. Aria, panicked, rushed back to camp to find Lloyd standing outside. He was staring up at the gold dragon in the sky.

"That means, they've found their power." Lloyd says before looking over at Aria "Right?"

"Yeah," Aria nods "but it also means.." she looks up at the dragon as well "We're running out of time."
