Lloyd sat on the half destroyed wall of the town ruins they happened upon during the final battle. Aria was searching inside the nearby houses, when she came back out.

"Look what I found," Aria held up a purple cloth.

"What is it?" Lloyd asks

Aria handed him the cloth and he looks at it. There was an image of a black dragon in the center.

"What about it?" Lloyd looks up at her.

"Remember that riddle my father told us," Aria says as she puts her hands on her hips "When you see the image amongst the gold, find the end of the story?"

"Yeah.. this is purple." Lloyd drops the cloth on the wall "Not gold."

"My mother's locket," Aria pulls the gold locket from under her shirt

Aria turns to locket to the back where the same image of the dragon was engraved,

"No way," Lloyd says as he looks closely at it "What about find the end of the story?"

"I don't know yet." Aria puts the locket back under her shirt "We know this is the kingdom my parents ruled when my father was fighting the first spinjitzu master. I don't know what end of the story means."

"The great mystery our parents are keeping from us, is linked to the ruins of their past." Lloyd sighs "If only I paid more attention in school."

"We cannot fix the mistakes of the past," Aria mutters "only our actions going forward."

"Is that something the old man told you back then?" Lloyd asks

"When Wu tried to teach me to be good, yes." Aria confirms "I heard the old man is opening his new school where Darkley's use to be."

"They don't really think they're going to live in peace now do they?" Lloyd questions "I mean, we did declare we were after them."

"They won't take us seriously as long as we have little control of our powers," Aria tells him "We need to find a way to harness our powers."

"You mean like finding your father's temple?" Lloyd questions pointing behind him at the path next to the castle. "The first spinjitzu master designed his to give the ninja their power.. what if your mother did the same?"

"No that.." Aria stops and thinks for a moment before turning to Lloyd with a smile "No you're right."

"Duh," Lloyd smirks "I got a brain upstairs you know."

"Come on!" Aria runs off to the path

Lloyd jumps off the wall and follows after her. The two open the doors to the temple and enter, the crystals lighting up in the same way it did prior.

"Now if only they left instructions for us," Lloyd comments

Lloyd turns to see Aria removing the painting of her parents that was in the center of the illustrations. Lloyd walks over as the wall lit up, in front of them was the exactly image of that moment, the two as they were standing in front of the wall.

"Destiny works in mysterious ways," Lloyd mutters

"Now what?" Aria questions "That didn't tell me what I hoped."

"Surely there's not a bell in here too." Lloyd says "Would be too easy."

"No I-" Aria was cut off by the crystal's suddenly went out

"Aria!" Lloyd panicked "Where are you?!"

"I'm right here calm down." Aria answers as she grabs his hand

The too look around in the darkness until studently they heard a voice.

"It is time"

The two turn around to see two tiles lit up, at the entrance of the temple. The two look at each other before slowly walking up to it, and standing on their respective colors. Aria on the purple tile, Lloyd on the pink.

"The memories of the ancients engulfs you."

The wall beside them began to light up, it was the images of them that they briefly took notice of the previous time they were inside.

"Harness the energy of the sacred elements,"

Aria's eyes glowed purple as Lloyd's glowed pink. The crystals in the room began to light up purple and pink, little orbs began to fill the room like fireflies. Lloyd and Aria looked around them in awe.

"Reveal your true being,"

Lloyd grew horns on his head as well as Aria, but she had dragon wings as well.

"And unleash it's power."

The lights around the room spun until the orbs began covering their bodies, until they were completely black.

"May the darkness, lead you.."

The darkness shatters and the two were freed. The lights returned to normal and the two turned to each other.

"Well," Lloyd smirks "guess we got our answer."

Aria reached up and grabbed his horn, tugging on it a bit.

"Ow, Aria." Lloyd complains

"Well, looks like it's real." Aria giggles

"Well.." Lloyd looks her up and down "You're hot."

"Of course, I'm my mother's daughter." Aria responds before realizing what he said and blushes "Hey!"

"What?" Lloyd put his hands up "I can't say that? I'm a man after all, I'm not blind."

"Idiot," Aria mutters looking away

"What do we do now?" Lloyd questions as he put his hand on his horn "We can't walk around like this."

"Simple," Aria turns to him "We're Oni remember, we can shape shift."

"Oh yeah," Lloyd chuckles "You know what this means right?"

"What?" Aria questions

Lloyd leans against the wall "We're about to take Ninjago to another level."

-

"Settle down everyone!" Kai shouts before sighing when none of the kids listened to him.

"Excuse me,"

Kai turns to the girl who walked into the room.

"Headmaster Wu told me to start in this class," she tells him shyly "I'm new
