"Hey!" I said, gasping slightly as I shot out from my car. "Neveah!"

My best friend glanced up at me from the other side of the parking lot, and I haphazardly shut my car door and locked it, running over to her seconds later.

"Woah there, killer," she said, smirking as I put my hands on my knees and gasped. "You good?"

I stood fully and nodded, catching my breath. "I wanted to... ask you something."

She smiled slightly. "Maybe wait until you can breathe, yeah?"

I nodded, centering myself for a moment before I stood fully.

"Shoot away, killer," she told me, smirking.

"Can you stop calling me that?" I demanded. "It's rude, you know."

She rolled her eyes. "I'm not the one who crushes my cereal and laughs, seriously, you're a cereal-killer."

"Haha," I said, "very funny."

"Punny," she corrected, "and what did you want to ask me?"

I breathed for a moment before I urged myself forward. "Do you know Sebastian?"

She blinked. "Uh, a little. Why?"

"Has he talked about me?" I asked her, brows drawing together. "Like he if he knows where I live... have you told him about... my dreams?"

"Dreams?" Neveah said. "What dreams?"

I blinked.

So I hadn't talked about them.

I guessed as much... last night was definitely real.

"Ooookay," she said at my lack of response. "Uh, no, no dream gossip, but if he knows you? I don't know. I only hang around his friend group occasionally, and he hasn't talked about you, so...."

I just sighed.

"You can ask him, though," she suggested, gazing up, "look, he's pulling up on queue."

I gazed up, breath stilling when a long, black SUV parked on the side of the road, and I watched as the car turned off, and Sebastian slowly came out from driver's side.

He shut the door, and immediately—as if he sensed me looking at him—his eyes locked on mine.

He smiled, a dark look in his eyes, and he just winked.

I stared.

He walked off then, sliding on his sunglasses as he stepped to the pile of his friends, and one of them wrapped their arm around his neck, pulling him forward as they all walked into the school.

"Okay..." Neveah said then, "is it just me... or did he wink at you?"

I only shook my head, making my way forward to the school. "It's probably nothing."
