Skye
"Haha!" Neveah said as the puck rolled into my side. "I win! Again! Now how much do you owe me?"
I gave her a disbelieving look. "We're playing air-hokey, not poker."
"Oh, come on!" she said. "So unfair! You're no fun, you know that?"
"I know." I gave her an innocent smile.
She rolled her eyes, slipping her card through the taker again and smiled at me. "Come on, another round."
"Whoo," I said as I slipped in my card, "another way for you to beat my ass. Great."
She smiled evilly when the puck deposited from the side and slid to the middle.
She suddenly flipped out and slammed the puck toward me, and I yelped when it crashed against the wall and slid back over to her, slamming into her side, and coming back.
"Jesus!" I said as I tried to dodge it. "Not so hard! You're going to lodge it into someone's eye!"
"Sounds great," she replied as it came back toward her.
I yelped when she crashed it back toward me, and it bounced off my wall and slid over to her side.
It only took two seconds because we both expected it to bounce off the wall.
But when it started sliding toward the middle, she yelled, "Oh, crap!"
Though it was already too late.
Before she could react, the puck slid gracefully into her side, and I smiled evilly when the screen blinked and said, "Player Two is the winner."
"Yes!" I said, jumping in satisfaction. "I beat you! Finally! And I didn't even do anything!"
She gave me a bored look and shook her head. "You are too giddy."
I danced around. "And you were, too, when I lost, so now I get a chance to bully you back."
Neveah sighed, sputtering her lips. "Skye, you are all just... revenge, aren't you?"
"Not all the time," I replied, still dancing. "But I do occasionally take revenge when given a chance."
She just rolled her eyes and watched me mess with her.
But she suddenly glanced behind me, and her lips parted. "Uhm... Skye?"
I gazed up, still dancing. "What?"
She pointed behind me, and I stopped and turned, searching the crowd for whatever she was pointing at.
I was about to turn and say, "What are you trying to tell me?" but I ended up finding it.
Or him in this situation.
