Third Person Pov:Seraphine smiled as she served the meal. "Martha helped me with the cooking today. I hope you like it," she said.
Darain took a bite, savoring the flavors. "This is delicious. You did a great job," he complimented, making Seraphine blush with gratitude.
"Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it," she replied, her smile lingering.
Teasingly, Darain suggested, "Maybe you should take over the kitchen more often."
Seraphine, in a playful tone, asked, "Are you admitting that my cooking is better than the chef's?"
Darain smirked, "Let's just say it's a pleasant surprise."
Seraphine grinned as Darain complimented her cooking.
"Pleasant surprise, huh? I'll take that as a compliment."Darain leaned in, a smirk playing on his lips.
Darain: Consider it whatever you like, but I wouldn't mind having your cooking more often.
Seraphine teased, feigning shock.: The great Darain appreciating homemade meals? What a rare occurrence.
Darain smirked.: "Well, I guess you bring out the hidden talents in me."
Seraphine chuckled.
"Hidden talents, huh? I'll make sure to uncover more of them."Darain whispered, a hint of smirk
"Looking forward to it"
As the echoes of a delightful dinner filled the air, Darain, breaking his usual demeanor, offered, "Let me help you with these dishes, Sera."
She, with a warm smile, declined his offer, insisting she could manage on her own.
However, Darain, undeterred, began assisting, their silent coordination turning the task into an unexpected unity.
Amidst the clinking of plates, Darain's phone pierced the tranquility.
As he answered, a shadow crossed his face, reflecting a shift from domestic ease to an unexpected tension.
Seraphine, perceptive to the change, gently suggested, "You should take that call. I'll handle the dinner's aftermath. It seems important."
Reluctantly, Darain stepped away to answer the call,
Caleb's voice conveyed the difficulty of the situation. "Darain, we couldn't find anyone with apparent intentions to harm. No leads, no clues. We're still looking into every avenue, checking for any suspicious activity around. It's proving to be a challenging task."
Darain's frustration deepened, his demand clear, "I don't care how challenging it is. Find me the person responsible. Continue the investigation until you have answers."
As the call ended, Seraphine entered the room, her eyes questioning the abrupt shift. "darain is everything alright."
Darain, masking his emotions, simply shrugged and said, "Nothing's wrong. I'll be in my office if you need anything."
