Darian sighed, his brow furrowing with concern. "I don't know, Sera. But I promise you, I won't rest until we find out who's responsible."

Darian's heart sank as he realized the truth. He gently lifted her chin to meet her eyes.
"I promise you, Sera," he said, his voice firm. "I will find out what happened. I'll protect you, and I'll make sure justice is served."
Sera's eyes welled up with tears as she looked into his determined gaze. She nodded silently, feeling the weight of his promise.
Darian pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close as they faced the shadows of her past together.
Sera smiled weakly, grateful for his support. "Thank you, Darian. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Darian squeezed her hand reassuringly. "You'll never have to find out. I promise."
